| White-backed planthopper(Sogatella furcifera) is one of the important journey pests on rice production in China. Adults and nymphs sucking rice plants phloem directly. The damages affect the photosynthesis and respiration of rice, and spread the virus, and seriously affect the yield and quality of rice. Using resistant varieties is the most economic, safe and efficient way to control the number of white-backed planthopper. Varieties of rice germplasm resources in China provide a good foundation for screening and utilizing the resistance resources.In this paper, Rice germplasms from Sichuan Agricultural University Rice Research Institute were screened, and the resistance mechanism has carried on the preliminary exploration, the results are as follows:1, Resistance screening results show that:In the 164 rice varieties provided from Sichuan Agricultural University Rice Research Institute, There are 24 of these have resistance to white-backed planthopper, accounting for 0.0910% of the total materials; Shuangkang 77021,one copy of materials characterized by high resistance (HR), accounting for 1.2160% of the total material. Seven copies of materials characterized by resistance (R), accounting for 4.2683% of the total material. Sixteen copies have moderate resistance (MR), accounting for 9.7560% of the total material..2, Repellency and antibiosis determination of white-backed planthopper of different rice varieties show that 1275, Taiyi 3074, Shuangkang 77021 and BG276-6 showed stronger feeding repellency to nymphs, Each variety of white-backed planthopper nymphs quantity are less than 2.9 head/seedling; Xiaojiahuo, ZaodaoNo.11, IR29 and E114 have the lowest feeding repellency, and no significant difference between; Shuangkang 77021 and BG276-6 showed feeding repellency stronger repellency to adult, while Taiyi 3074, Zaodao No.11, IR29,1275 were weaker than them, all< 3.7head/seedling; Taiyi 3074, BG276-6 and Shuangkang 77021 showed stronger oviposition deterrence effect, while Xiaojiahuo showed weakest repellency. The rest of varieties repellent from strong to weak was 1275, IR29,2347, Zaodao No.11. White-backed planthopper had largest food consumption on BG276-6 and Shuangkang 77021, The average honey area of white-backed planthopper were least than 50mm2/d on Taiyi 3074,1275, IR29 and E114. The antibiosis scores of BG276-6 and Shuangkang 77021 are least than 61%, significant difference compared with TN1, They were highest resistance varieties; 2247, Taiyi 3074 and 1275,the three rice varieties’s AS between 61% to 80%, belong to the resistance varieties; Xiaojiahuo, Zaodao No.11, E114, IR29 and TN1, the five varieties’ AS is more than 80%, belong to susceptible varieties. The antibiosis of Shuangkang 77021 was strongest (AS=55.2%), while Xiaojiahuo was the weakest, its AS was 89.93% and more than TN1’s AS; Both Shuangkang 77021 and Taiyi 3074 had great impact on white-backed planthopper’s growth. While BG276-6 and 1275 weaker than the former. White-backed planthopper on these rice varieties had longest developmental duration. The rest had little impact on their growth, the developmental duration of white-backed planthopper was no significant difference between the rest and TN1.The resistance of rice resources was closely related to their feeding selection, adult ecesis, oviposition, growth and development, viability. white-backed planthopper was obvious trended towards on susceptible rice varieties. Shaungkang 77021 and BG276-6 had strongest repellency and antibiosis, those characteristic have relativity with the resistence level of rice resources, It can be presumed that rice varieties resistence was regulated by repellency and antibiosis.3, The determination of rice germplasm secondary metabolites showed that the content of secondary metabolites between different rice varieties significantly difference. BG276-6 and Shuangkang77021 contain highest quantity of total polyphenols and total flavonoids, while Xiaojiahuo and TNI contain lowest quantity. The rest probably contained higher quantity and owned higher resistance. The content of total polyphenols and total flavonoids was closely related to dead seedling and correlations were -0.9079 and -0.8697. It proved that the content of total polyphenols and total flavonoids was closely related to resistance.The content of oxalic acid of different rice varieties had difference.1275 contain highest quantity (15.91μg/ml),significantly higher than others. E114 contain lowest quantity (11.80μg/ml). It showed that the content of oxalic acid was poorly related to resistance, and the correlation coefficient was r=-0.3887.In this paper,166 rice varieties systematically evaluated the resistance identification and explored resistance mechanism. selected a high resistance material (Shuangkang 77021)to white-backed planthopper, and found that resistance of different rice varieties is mainly composed of repellency and antibiosis, mainly secondary substances of rice plant total phenol and flavonoids content were significantly positive correlated with the resistance of the rice. |
