Oat (Arena sativa L.) as one of the main crops in the high-cold region of Liangshan, there are some problems on oat production, for example, the phenomenon of mixed varieties is serious, backward cultivated pattern, low yield per unit eara and so on. In order to solve these problems, affection of different cultivating factors on oat yield was studied, and the region of Huidong, Ganluo, Butuo and Zhaojue was chosen as case study. In 2013, I did a survey in Liangshan in order to know the production of oat, of course, some field experiments were studied to select the suitable variety in frigid region of Liangshan, and determine the optimum cultivation technique for high yield in the alpine of Liangshan. The main results are as follows:1. Oat as spring sowing in Liangshan sows between March 5th and March 20th, harvests between July and August and sowing rate is between 100d to 200d.2. Results showed that height, spike length and spikelet per ear had significant influence on yield. The main important factors in seed yield was spikelet per ear, And differences between regions were significant, the spikelet per ear was about 70 pellets in Huidong, while others only had about 40 pellets.3. The result of this year’s field tests in four regions of Liangshan showed that:All of the 3 tested varieties could get high yield, and Chuanyanl and Bayou6’s yield significant higher than Baiyanll. It was suitable variety to spread considering yield and quality of naked oat and economic effectiveness in the Liangshan zone. Specifically, Bayou6 could get higher yield in Zhaojue, Baiyan11 and Chuanyanl could get higher yield in Huidong.4. The fertilizer level was not significant influence in field. Take the land fertile into account, so the fertilizer amount can be determined depending on the land fertile to improve the yield of the land and the suitable fertilizer account was from 225kg/hm2 to 450kg/hm2.5. The species optimum planting density was 720,000 strains per hectare in four zones, and the yield significantly increased with the increase of cultivating density. Considering oat lodge in four regions, and there was no difference for the planting density between 450,000 and 720,000 steains per hectare, so the suitable for planting density was from 450,000 to 720,000 strains per hectare, depend on all factors, close planting is important to improve oat yield.6. Combined analysis of variance, the optimum combination is A1C3 (planting density is 720,000 strains per hectare and optimum fertilization level is 225kg/hm2).The oat yield of liangshan frigid zone will increase with this kind of combination and in this combination, the 3 tested oat varieties got 2590.268 kg/hm2、2168.484 kg/hm2、2739.608 kg/hm2 yield respectively.7. Compared with the conventional planting, the optimum combination of scientific cultivation could improve the yield of oats, and the yield increase from 2% to 67%. The difference between the two planting ways was significant, statistically in Huidong area.
