The objective of this paper was to study the effects of the same cadmium condition stress on the growth and the photosynthetic characteristics often Roses by pot experiment. The ten Roses have such features which were disease resistant, developed root, growing well and widely used in landscaping.At the same time, the effect of Pb stress on the photosynthetic characteristics and the physiological and biochemical characteristic of five Roses were studied by nutrition culture.Moreover,the effects of different Cd and Pb combined contamination on the photosynthetic characteristics and the physiological and biochemical characteristic of Parkdirektor Riggers which was tolerant to Cd contamination and Colin Kelly which was tolerant to Pb contamination. The main results are as follow:1> The effect of lmg/kg Cd stress on the plant growth and the photosynthetic characteristic often Rose varieties were studied by pot experiment. The results showed that the responce to the Cd stress varied greatly among rose varieties.Compared with CK, the plant growth and the photosynthetic characteristics of Parade, Queen Elizabeth,Osiana and First Lady were inhibited under Cd stress.Moreover, the First Lady has much stronger responce to the Cd stress. The plant growth and the photosynthetic characteristics of Versilia and Rainbow’s End were not affected under Cd stress. Compared with CK, the plant growth and the photosynthetic characteristics of Nicole, Abhisarika, Iceberg and Parkdirektor Riggers were promoted by Cd stress. Moreover, the Iceberg and Parkdirektor Riggers were promoted much stronger by Cd stress. The results indicated that Iceberg and Parkdirektor Riggers have much stonger suitability and tolerence under Cd stress.2^ The effect of Pb stress on the physiological and biochemical characteristic of five Rose varieties under different treatment concentration was studied by nutrition culture. The different concentration of Pb was 20、100、500 mg/L.The results showed that the process of the physiological and biochemical characteristic of five Roses had been changed greatly under Pb stress condition. In terms of the synthesis of cholorophyll,the root activity and the photosynthetic characteristic,which decrease as Pb concentration increase on Color Magic and Rhapsody;which increase at 20 mg/L Pb concentration,but which decrease as Pb concentration increase on Red Cap and Pink Peace; which increase at 20 mg/L and 100 mg/L Pb concentration,but which decrease quickly as Pb concentration at 500 mg/L on Colin Kelly. The five Roses MDA content increase as Pb concentration increase. The MDA content of Color Magic and Rhapsody quickiy increase as Pb concentration increase, we can concluded that the Color Magic and Rhapsody have poor ability to adapt Pb pollution environment; the Red Cap and Pink Peace can adapt to the relatively lower Pb pollution environment;the Colin Kelly can adapt to the relatively serious Pb pollution environment,so it is the better Rose which can adapt and resistance to relatively serious Pb pollution environment.3、The effect of Pb、Cd combined stress on the growth and the physiological and biochemical characteristic of Parkdirektor Riggers and Colin Kelly under different treatment concentration was studied by pot experiment. The different combined concentration of Cd+Pb were 1+1005+500.25+1000.50+2000mg/kg. The results showed that the process of the growth and the physiological and biochemical characteristic of Parkdirektor Riggers and Colin Kelly had been changed greatly under Cd+Pb combined stress condition. The plant growth of Parkdirektor Riggers and Colin Kelly were obviously promoted under 1+100 mg/kg stress;but the plant growth of Parkdirektor Riggers and Colin Kelly were inhibited with heavy metals concentration increase.Besides the higher the heavy metals concentration,the greater the inhibition. The activities of SOD and the root activity increased first and decreased afterwards. The synthesis of cholorophyll, the photosynthetic characteristic, the activities of SOD,POD,CAT and the root activity increased first and decreased afterwards. The MDA and Praline content were increased with heavy metals concentration increase.
