Xin Jiang, the largest production region of high-quality cotton in China. Precision sowing is the development direction of the cotton plantation. Mechanical dibbling has some advantages over pneumatic dibbling, such as, simple structure, maintenance convenient and low cost. But mechanical dibbling has problems, it is difficult to control cavity rate. And the main cause of cavity is arching(seed congestion in the mouth). In this paper one solution has been put forward to solve the arching problem, that is filling in order queue.Based on orderly filling idea, the paper designed orderly filling device and dibbler. Seeds queuing in the special guiding role of V groove under its own gravity and centrifugal force, combining with double parallel cavity structure to solve the problem of the precise separation at the same time. Through theoretical analysis, the principle of orderly filling dibbler and the process of seed movement have been studied, seed movement includes queuing, side movement and precision separation, fist drop, second drop. The queuing and precision separation are the main stage that influence the effect of the pattern.In this paper virtual simulation technology has been used to simulate the process of orderly filling dibbler, to observe and analyze the posture change of seeds, to find the main factors of queuing. Using simulation test, the optimal structure parameters have been determined,that is the height of hole is 6 mm, the width of hole is 10 mm, the width of the filling cavity is 7 mm, the width of the keeping cavity is 6 mm, the filling cavity’s bottom Angle is 45 °, the keeping cavity’s bottom Angle is 45 °, the distance between the center at the bottom of the V groove and the fixed plate is 2 mm.The main components of dibbler, seedmeter and belt have been maching through 3d printing rapid prototyping technology combined with modular processing methods.The accuracy of the virtual simulation experiment has been verified by bench test, the optimal structure parameters and working parameters of dibbler have been determined by orthogonal test, which belt diameter is 300 mm, 14 metering devices uniformly distributed on the circumference of the belt, metering shaft speed is 40 r/min; the cavity rate has been decrease by the secondly filling device.Queuing filling method of this thesis belongs to actively queuing, using the special structure of the seed metering device to queuing and filling under its own gravity, but the results are not perfect, we can research on enforce queuing in the future.
