Corn planting began to become the first major grain crop area in China in 2012, the corn straw yield increased with the increase of yield increased year by year. The corn straw is rich in nutrition, so it is the main source of coarse diet livestock, based on long-term development of the animal husbandry cannot do without straw, straw livestock is an important measure of grain production and animal husbandry common development. At present, the reason of hinder the straw livestock large-scale implementation is mainly of corn straw bulky inconvenience of transportation and low palatability due to poor utilization rate, the device of tearing corn straw into forage can solve this problem effectively. The device of tearing corn straw into forage designed and manufactured in this paper can be installed on combine harvester, so it can realize the combination of harvesting corn grain and tearing corn straw into forage, and contribute to Corn straw moisture evaporation, bale handling or direct feeding after harvest.This paper develop a tearing corn straw into forage test bench based on mechanical properties of corn straw. According to the results of the test on the test bench, do a further design of tear components to determine the structure and motion parameters. the specific contents completed are as follows: 1.Using a universal testing machine examined the longitudinal shear and compression characteristics properties of harvest corn straw stem nodes: longitudinal cutting force were applied as evaluation index, cutter speed, angle of the cutter and position of the stem nodes were applied as the main influence factors; in the experimental method of the three-factor quadratic-orthogonal-rotation-combination design was adopted; double factor test were used to harvest period and cutter speed, angle of the cutter and position of the stem nodes, analysis of three groups of tow factors effect on the evaluation index—longitudinal cutting force; carry out the position of the stem nodes for the main influence factors do double factor test to analysis of the influence of the two factors of the experimental index—compressive force. 2.According to the requirement of tearing corn straw into forage and the results above, we use Solidworks software modeling design of the device of tearing corn straw into forage can complete installation in Dongfeng 4YX-2 vertical roller corn combine harvester, and manufacturing entity after interference check. 3.For ease of device parameter adjusting built a test bench, test bench is mainly composed of chassis, snapping rolls, tearing rolls, feeding station, discharge hole, transmission mechanism,control mechanism and torque testing mechanism etc..In order to test the tearing property of tearing rolls on different rake angle of saw blade, this paper designs-15°, 20°, 30° three different rake angle circular saw blade tearing rollers. 4.Use the tearing corn straw into forage test bench developed by ourselves, carry on the experiment of the circular saw blade front angle, the speed of snapping rolls snd tearing rolls and harvest period on three factors, ultimately determine the optimal combination of work is: the snapping rolls speed 800 rpm, tearing rolls speed 1400 rpm, 30°rake angle saw blade, the harvest period for the corn grain is harvest early, the working parameters can maintain the highest pass rate, minimize power consumption and can avoid wraping grass situation.A series of tests for the device of tearing corn straw into forage validate that the device of tearing corn straw into forage in this research can operat smoothly,safely and reliably, the working performance is good, the qualified rate of the best forage for 88.4%. The main performance indexes can meet the demand of tearing corn straw into forage.
