Modern diets lead to high cholesterol and high blood sugar and related cardiovascular disease, has been plagued by attention and research, find and make use of natural plant extracts and improve food features, is one of the main direction of research in this field. Plant active ingredients extract as the main ingredient of functional food has become the focus of attention, has a very broad prospects for development. In recent years, the process of forest harvesting and tree pruning, often left some residue branches, these residues have not been reasonable use, and some even will rot. In this experiment, several species as raw material in the northeast, extraction with distilled water heated directly on the branches then the functional components were extracted, not only can make rational use of residues branches, but also very important for the development of nutrition and health food, and also offer reference to the further development of functional foods. In this experiment, poplar branches, pine branches, willow branches as raw materials and distilled water as solvent. Measured by infrared spectroscopy and liquid chromatography, the results: The tree extract containing alkyd, flavonoids, amino polysaccharides, aromatic ingredients and derivatives. Mice as experimental subjects to study the effects of the three branches of the extract on intestinal flora, lipid regulating, anti-fatigue. In this study, low-profile, medium and high doses are the three groups. The results as follows:Mice as experimental subjects and the intestinal flora as evaluation to study the effects of three branches extracts on gastrointestinal function in mice, test results: the number of E. coli in the intestine of mice compared to comparison group were some reduction.,apart from poplar, pine, willow low-dose group did not different.(P> 0.05), the number of intestinal E. coli in the remaining mice(P <0.05), poplar and pine role in the high dose group are the most effective(P <0.01). Bifidobacterium compared with the reference group were increased, the low dose group of poplar, low dose and middle dose group of willow have no significant difference(P> 0.05) in the number of mouse intestinal flora; while the number of bifidobacteria in the rest of the group were increased(P <0.01 or P <0.05), the best is the high dose group of pine(P <0.01). Compared between different species which extracts from high dose group of pine have a good effect on the intestinal flora. Experimental results show that the extraction of different ingredients from branches can promote gastrointestinal peristalsis and intestinal absorption function, suggesting that sticks extract has the function of regulating the intestinal flora, and can promote mouse intestine bacteria growth, and also inhibit some harmful bacteria.Take the weight of mice, TC,TG,GOD,HDL-C, and LDL as evaluation index, explore the effect of extract of branches on blood lipid regulation, the results:The TC concentration of Poplar extract in group of experimental animals was reduce with increasing doses of each test substance. The effect of high dose group was the best, its effects were positively correlated.with the test substance concentrations. The TC concentration of pine and willow extract was rise then reduce with increasing doses of each test substance. The TC concentration of poplar and willow high dose group were significantly reduce, compared with the control group. The GOD concentration of poplar and willow high dose group was significantly reduce. The TG concentration of willow high dose group was significantly reduce(P<0.01).The HDL-C concentration of willow group was significantly reduce. The LDL-C concentration of all group was significantly reduce(P<0.05),except the middle and low dose of poplar group. This suggests that the branches extract have a certain effect on hyperlipidemia, and reduce its incidence.Mice swimming in the water can be used as evaluation exercise tolerance ability, discussion branches extracts have effect on mice resistance to fatigue. The swimming time can reflect the degree of fatigue in mice activities. The main findings are as follows: poplar extract group was significantly greater than pine and willow extract group. Swimming depletion time of poplar extract group with the reference treatment group was the most significant difference(P<0.01). The experimental results show that extracts of different species can be appropriate coordination with the mice swimming time, and have the appropriate anti-fatigue function.
