In the industry of livestock and poultry, antibiotics is always added in feed to reduce the incidence rate of poultry and livestock, and increase the slaughter rate and commodity rate of poultry and livestock. The sulfonamides have been widely used in the production, since it’s wide antimicrobial spectrum, convenient use and low price. But if it is used improperly or abused, sulfonamides will cause the bacterial resistance. In addition, sulfonamides will be left in the downstream products and harm to human health. With the influence of "lean lean essence event" in 2011, people pay more and more attention to the food safety. Residual of sulfonamides becomes one of the most important monitoring objects. Determination of sulfonamides residues has become a hotspot. HPLC method is one of the most widely used methods. With the development of chromatographic packing technology, many new columns are emerged rapidly that facilitates the analysis of residual of sulfonamides rapidly and accurately. Apply the new methods and new technical to optimize the traditional method to reduce the cost and improve the efficiency significantly, expand the test range and capability. This paper wad divided into five parts, In the first part mainly outlined the basic status of sulfa drugs and the harm of drug residue, the second part summarized the general research situation of analysis methods of sulfa drug residue in recent years, the third part applied the new core-shell chromatographic column to develop a rapid HPLC method to separate 9 kinds of sulfonamides, the forth part applied the new HPLC method to determine the residual of 9 kinds of sulfonamides in feed and validate this method, the fifth part prospected the application of new technology in the traditional methods.
