Objective: Discuss the antibacterial effect of Cephalosporins grous,Sulfanilamide grous,Oxytetracycline and other 15 kinds of western medicine and 6 kinds of herbs and prescription as Honeysuckle,berberine and Huanglianjiedu soup etc on Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, Streptococcus equi Ⅱ bacterium and Streptococcus equi.Study on the treatment effect and preventive effect of the selected 6 kinds of western medicine as pulsatilla,honeysuckle,coptis Honeysuckle, berberine etc and herbs and prescription as pulsatilla,honeysuckle,coptis and forsythia etc on the model of Infected Mice.Method: The tube method were used to measure the minimum inhibitory concentration of the medicine on the bacteria.Using 6 kinds of western medicine and 6 kinds of herbs and prescription conducts clinic experiments and prevention experiment on mice, and detects TNF-α, IL-4 changes of experimental animals by ELISA technology.Results: The drugs of oxytetracycline, gentamicin, enrofloxacin and sulfa have a strong inhibitory on the Streptococcus equi.Staphylococcus aureus were strongly suppressed by the drugs of Penicillins and cephalosporins. By the same way E.coliO157:h7 were highly restrained by the drugs of Lincomycin, kanamycin sulfate and sulfa. And The results showed that the streptococcus equi were high sensitive to the huanglian jiedu decoction, wuwei xiaodu decoction and coptis;the E.coliO157:H7 were high sensitive to the pulsatilla;the staphylococcus aureus were high sensitive to the honeysuckle and forsythia.The level of TNF-α in the serum were detected by using ELISA method, the ratio of the TNF-α and IL-4 between chinese medicine group and the treatment group increased significantly compared to the control group(P< 0.05), the expression level of TNF-α and IL-4 on the comparison of the treatment group with the model group were decreased(P<0.01).the expression level of TNF-α and IL-4 on the comparison between the prevention and the model group were decreased(P< 0.01).Conclusion: his results were suitable for not only the effects of the drugs of penicillin cephalosporins on staphylococcus aureus but also the effects of drugs of the Lincomycin,kanamycin sulfate and sulfa on E.coliO157:H7.
