Urumqi county economic crops are mainly potato, in recent years, along with the 2CM-1 type potato planter my county self-developed constantly year by year promotion of potato mechanization planting technology in Urumqi County,basically achieve full coverage, but potato harvesting mechanization level is stillvery low, has become Urumqi county potato growers urgent the problem.Because Urumqi county potato planting is the planting pattern in every household, land area are generally small, large potato harvester popularizing restricted, Potato Mechanized Harvest only positioning in the demonstration and extension of small potato digging machine. Because the Urumqi Nanjiao cohesive soil, sand more. Encountered poor soil moisture drought weather, in order to improve the rate of emergence, potato sowing depth is deep(12-15 cm, the first flat after sowing in furrow and ridge). In recent years the introduction of the models are based on the investigation of sand or sandy loam soil of design and manufacture, can not well adapt to the actual situation of Urumqi county potato harvest machine, therefore, in consideration of the existing Urumqi County special geographical environment, potato planting pattern and the disadvantages of existing small potato digger, and on the basis of the experience of the domestic and foreign small potato excavator on the advantages, developed a small potato digger matched with tractor. According to the theoretical analysis and experimental results, the machine is suitable for planting pattern of potato harvest of my county. This paper mainly in the following aspects are studied deeply:1) By analyzing the harvest technology requirements to Xinjiang potato planting specification analysis and potato digger and equipment operation indicators, determine the working principle of the machine, completed the overall design of potato digger;2) According to the requirements of the machine design, design of the potato excavator, and the digging shovel and vibration isolation conveying device has carried on the detailed design and theoretical calculation;3) Based on the Cosmos Works software, the key components of digging shovel static analysis is done to verify whether its performance meet the design requirements;4) To shovel working angle and separation mechanism of amplitude, conveyor structure linear velocity of orthogonal test as experimental factors, study the machine Ming potato rate, damaged rate and other indicators, obtained the primary and secondary relationship and the optimal combination of potato excavator performance index factors. The test results show that the optimal working parameters of the machine are: separation mechanism, conveying mechanism of amplitude 100 mm line speed 1.8m/s, digging shovel working angle of 20 degrees.
