As the basis of life on earth, photosynthesis plays a significant role inthe history of evolution. And as the major organs of plants, leaves carry outphotosynthesis during wheat growth periord, and transport photosynthetic product toseeds in filling stage. The chlorophyll content of plant leaves, especially the flagleaves is correlated with the capability of leaf, the higher the chlorophyll level ofleaves, the stronger photosynthesis capability and the more photosynthetic productcould be utilized. Despite numerous reports of the relationship between the charactersof flag leaf including length, width, thichness or area and yield have been reveald, fewpapers have illuminated the correlation between the chlorophyll level of the flagleaves and the wheat yield. On the basis of former researches, we analyze thechlorophyll level, photosynthetic characters, and chlorophyll fluorescenceparameters by using SPAD, fluorescence microscope. Also, we have analyzed theagronomic characters and yield trait of10chlorophyll level different wheat varietiesand compared the correlation between them and the chlorophyll. The results showed that there are differences between24different varieties ofwheat chlorophyll of flag leaf, the second upper leaf and the third upper leave. At themeantime, different leaf blade chlorophyll level has significant difference betweeneach period that flag leaf higher than second upper leaf that higher than the thirdupper leaf. And the flag leaf chlorophyll level is significantly positively related withnet photosynthetic rate, intercellular CO2concentration, stomatal conductance, transpiration rate, For the maximum light transformation efficiency of photosystem IIand apparent electron transport efficiency. However, there is none correlation betweenthe chlorophyll level of flag leaf and plant height, length, width thichness or area offlag leaf. Furthermore, there is indeed a correlation between the chlorophyll level offlag leaf and1000-grain weight, grain per spike and grain weight per spike withextremely significant. In order to study in different genotypes of wheat leaf chlorophyll content and theproduction relations, from the selected four out of10varieties of chlorophyll contentdifferences larger varieties as experimental material, the experimental results showthat the10flag leaf chlorophyll representative wheat varieties of net photosyntheticrate, intercellular CO2concentration, stomatal conductance, transpiration rate, initialfluorescence, PSII maximum light energy conversion efficiency and apparent electrontransfer rate, there is a significant difference, and with wheat flag leaf chlorophyllcontent were very significant positive correlation.10flag leaf chlorophyllrepresentative varieties of wheat plant height, flag leaf length, leaf width andthickness of the flag, flag leaf area, there exists a significant difference waspositively correlation with wheat flag leaf chlorophyll content, but no significantcorrelation.10flag leaf chlorophyll is representative of the grains of wheat varieties, spike grain number and grain weight were there exists a significant difference, andwith wheat flag leaf chlorophyll content were very significant positive correlation. To sum up, this study made it more specific, comprehensive and objectiveresearch the structure of flag leaf, and on the relationship between the flag Ye Guangcooperation for its thickness has carried on the effective processing research, theexperiment shows that the high content of chlorophyll of wheat, have apparent effectto improve wheat yields.
