The conflict between human and wild boar and the damage have been increasing dramatically in recent years around Hunchun area, Jilin Province. From May 2012 to October 2014, we investigated the population number of wild boar using the relative population number methods in ChunHua town around Hunchun area, Jilin Province; We surveyed the types and characteristics of wild boar damage by the methods of interview, questionnaire and field investigation; We explored the relationship between the wild boar damage and the wild boar density by the way of regression analysis; Then we carried out the research on the control of the damage of wild boar with the feces and voice of Amur tiger. The conclusions are as the following:1 The density of wild boar in ChunHua area around Hunchun area, Jilin Province was (2.902±0.336)/km2 and the population range was from 4621 to 5832, the average was about 5226.2 The species of the corps damaged by wild boar mainly were corn, soybean secondly. The period of the damage by the wild boar from early summer to late autumn. The damage time focus on dusk to the next dawn. The damage degree was related with the location of farms. The farms which located at the edge of the forest, at the foot of the mountain and inside the forestry were easily damaged by the wild boar.3 According to the investigation of 300 residents,87.67 percent of respondents had taken measures to control the wild boar damage, including lethal and non-lethal methods. The residents used the methods of traps, clamps, disruptors and watching with human to protect their corps. These measures were not useful significantly to control the damage. The period of validity was 3 to 4 days except watching with human.4 In 2012, there were 497 wild boar damage cases around Hunchun area, Jilin Province, the damage area by wild boar was 250.95ha,The amount of compensation was 1756.9 thousand. The cases increased to 579 in 2013, The area and the amount of compensation increased to 267.88ha and 1875.3 thousand respectively. The mainly corps damaged by wild boar was corn.5 Results of Kendall correlation analysis shows that damage area by wild boar and it’s density in ChunHua was correlation significantly (correlation coefficient was 0.533, P<0.01), curve estimation regression shows that they fitted the function relation of Y=0.045X2=0.207X +0.257 (R2=0.829) best.that is, Mathematical equation is:Damage area=0.045(Wild boar density)2-0.207(Wild boar density)2+0.257.6 We carried out the research on the control of wild boar damage with the feces and voice of Amur tiger. The period of validity is defined the time span from the date of the measurements taken to the date of wild boar entering the farmland. Effective range is defined as the shortest distance from feces, player or the center of control farms to the site where wild boar damage appeared. We converted the period of validity and effective range to the period of validity index and the range index. The results show:(1) Compared with control farms, Amur tiger’s feces presented significantly positive effect on controlling damage caused by wild boar damage in the period of validity index and the range index(P<0.05); (2) Compared with control sampling farms, Amur tiger’s voice have significantly positive effect on controlling damage caused by wild boar in the period of validity index and the range index(P<0.05); (3) Compared with control sampling farms, Amur tiger’s feces together with Amur tiger’s voice have significantly positive effect on controlling damage caused by wild boar in the period of validity index and the range index (P<0.05); (4) Compare the measurements with each other, they have no significantly positive effect on controlling damage caused by wild boar in the period of validity index and the range index(P>0.05), Amur tiger’s feces and voice have significantly positive effective on controlling damage caused by wild boar because Amur tiger is the natural enemy of wild boar and it exists around Hunchun area, Jilin Province.
