| Chinese rose, one of the favorite flower strainsfor Chinese, is commonly planted for landscaping, commercial benefitorcourtyardornamental. With the vigorous development of gardening career in Karamay City, the acreage of urban green space increases steadily. The research focuses on the introduction, cultivation, breeding and resistance test of the following Chinese roses:ground cover rose, limbing rose, rosa hybrida, miniature rose, floribunda rose, grandiflora rose. The test results are as follows:1. Through comparing the growth and ornamental characteristics of introduced Chinese rose strains, five of which are fit to plant in Karamay City except rosa hybrida.2. Based on the investigation of the resistance to acid, alkali, cold weather and high temperature of Chinese roses, the following Chinese rose strains are found adaptable to Karamay City:Green Waves, Hardfort, Scarlet Meidilong, number two ground cover rose by ground cover rose strain, Little Girl, Free Gold by miniature rose strain, Morhaime, Little Red Hat, Fairyland, Bassino, Horn, Gold Mary by floribunda rose strain, Iridescent Cloud, Goddess, Pink Peace, Rouge Meilland by grandiflora rose strain as well as Summer Camp, Sympathy, Dortmund, Spectrum by limbing rose strain.3. The wide plantation and application of the Chinese rose species in parks, squares, courtyardsand by roadsides have not only promoted the effect of urban landscaping but gained recognition from the general public. |
