Panax notoginseng is one of the Panax Araliaceae family members and a kind of very famous traditional Chinese medicinal material on pain and promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis, thus it has a great medicinal and economic value. Currently, with the increasing planting scale, the way of harvesting always depends on famers or half mechanization. The domestic has not a machine of harvesting Panax notoginseng roots specifically for three years, most of them are under researching and designing. Mechanical harvester can greatly increase the efficiency, decrease the intensity of labor and deduce the wastage, therefore it can lay a strong foundation of Panax notoginseng industry.To solve these problems, combining with Panax notoginseng planting pattern in yunnan province and agronomic requirements, a suspension type harvester for three years’Panax notoginseng machinery has been designed.This mining harvester of Panax notoginseng on main research content is as follows:(1)This design by the four-wheel tractor traction, the main working parts by suspension, transmission system, mining equipment which is to pave soil road device, etc. Digging shovel into acute type opener shape design, the grave ability strong, simple structure, small resistance to work; Harvester at the back is equipped with a baffle collection, guarantee to soil of Panax notoginseng on the ground into the shop which is convenient for artificial picking up later.(2)Using CATIA software for Panax notoginseng harvester parts modeling and virtually assembling the whole machine; Assembly and detail drawings of the machine to make use of CAD 2 d figure drawing; This design using ANSYS simulation analysis software of digging parts for the statics analysis and design optimization, so as to make the structure more reasonable; Using the machine and parts of the 2 d figure of processing and assembling, creates towed Panax notoginseng mining harvester for three years.(3)In this paper, it aims at designing the general structure, calculating and determining the main parameters of the machine mining, separating, and splitting groove type shovel digging shovel. Making movement analysis and force analysis of Panax notoginseng on digging shovel and mixture elevator on the chain,establishes equation of motion Analyzing the motion law of dugging up Panax notoginseng root, simulates the best work parameters.(4)Field experiment results that three years Panax notoginseng mining harvest machine design is reasonable, good harvesting and the spreading effect with homework mining depth, root damage rate and planting rate.This study for Panax notoginseng roots harvesting machinery research and development is to find a new way of thinking how to improve the efficiency of three years Panax notoginseng root harvesting, this paper research concludes to further improve the performance of Panax notoginseng harvester design and has some reference meaning.
