In the pasturing area, although herdsman have already practiced to settle down, they can not reallyattain the combination of agriculture and husbandry, the short of grass is still seriously baffling thedevelopment of grassland-husbandry, and seriously damage to the ecosystem. Most herdsmen settlementscultivated land conditions are poor, generally belongs to the new reclaimed land. One of the core content ofherdsmen settlement is crop production, therefore, cultivated land is material base of the herdsmensettlement. The conditions of herdsmen settlements land and soil fertility restrict to improve the economicincome of the herdsmen and development of farming in pastoral areas. As a result, we are study on themain soil nutrient status of different herdsman settlements artificial grassland. The object was to providetheoretical and practical basis for rational fertilization, soil improvement and forage production forherdsmen settlement. This research mainly draws the following results:1.
