We searched the optimun amounts and proportions of fertilizer on bamboo shoots (Phyllostachys pubescens) in Yuyao, Zhejiang Province, Ningbo,2008-2009, and the heavy metal, nitrite and pesticide residue in bamboo shoots in different treatments. The results were as follows1. Application of fertilizer increased the output yield of winter shoot, spring shoot and of phyllostachys pubessens distinctly. Manure+urea>Special fertilizer for bamboo shoots> compound fertilizer, and their output of bamboo shoots all higher than comparison(no fertilizer); The output of winter shoot has increased more than the other bamboo shoots.2. spray irrigation tests indicated that the output of winter shoot can be increased by irrigating, and the effect of irrigating2days interval of2days was better than the irrigating2days interval of5days, the treatment no irrigation had the least winter shoot:3. The heavy metal, nitrite and pesticide residue with any fertilizer were not excess the national standards, but the nitrite of winter shoot were increased by Application of fertilizer, compound fertilizer> Special fertilizer for bamboo shoots>Manure+urea.
