| Micro Ridge Mulching With Side Planting is a rainwater harvesting cultivation pattern for the rainfed potato in arid area. This research aims to quantify the rainwater harvesting effect of the Micro Ridge Mulching With Side Planting by comparing with conventional flat planting under different simulated rainfall amount level of 5mm, 10mm,15mm,20mm. Treats were conducted in 16 days after emergence and 34 days after emergence (DAE). The result shows:1. when simulated rainfall was set at 16 DAE, from 5mm of rainfall level, the Micro ridge Mulching and side Planting pattern begins to significantly improve the soil moisture content of 0-20cm, potato plant leaf area Index, dry matter accumulation and water use efficiency.2. When simulated rainfall treats were employed at 34 DAE 10mm simulated rainfall amount is the minimum effective rainfall for Micro ridge Mulching and side Planting, When the rainfall amount greater than or equal to 10mm, the soil moisture content of 0-20cm and dry matter accumulation have been significantly improved.3. However, a single simulated rainfall treatment only has effect on short time dry matter accumulation, but has no effect on final yield. |
