In this research, based on 67 edible sunflower varieties and 24 oil sunflower varieties, determined their agronomic characters, physiological indexes, yield trait and quality index, used the factor analysis method and identical and different analysis method to analyzed the data of the determination. Main conclusions are as follows:1. Through factor analysis, respectively calculated the comprehensive evaluation index weight value of edible sunflower varieties and oil sunflower varieties and sorted them according to size. The edible sunflower varieties are:Yield per Mu, Growth period,Hundred-grain weigh, Lodging index, Grain length, Flower disc diameter, Leaf area, Flower disk shape, Plant high, Flower disc lean, Grain width, Leaf number, Stem diameter, Grain soluble protein, Disease type, Net photosynthesis rate, Disease-resistant, Water use efficiency, Grain thickness. And the oil sunflower varieties are: Yield per Mu, Flower disc diameter, Hundred-grain weight, Grain crude fat contents, Growth period, Plant high, Water use efficiency, Stem diameter, Lodging index, Disease-resistan, Hull percentage, Grain Water content, Leaf number, Flower disc lean, Flower disk shape, Leaf area, Disease type, Net photosynthesis rate.2. Based on the size and weight of each index of edible sunflower varieties and oil sunflower varieties, taking the former 1/2 as an important indicator of comprehensive evaluation and focus on them in future breeding work or variety comparison. The 11 indexes of edible sunflower are the following:Yield per Mu; Growth period; Hundred-grain weight; Lodging index; Grain length; Flower disc diameter; Leaf area; Flower disk shape; Plant high; Flower disc lean; Grain width. While the 11 indexes of oil sunflower are as follows:Yield per Mu; Flower disc diameter; Hundred-grain weight; Grain crude fat contents; Growth period; Plant high; Water use efficiency; Stem diameter; Lodging index; Disease-resistant; Hull percentage.3. Using identical and different analysis method to evaluate comprehensive evaluation index of the screened of edible sunflower varieties and oil sunflower varieties. The result of oil sunflower varieties are sorted from big to small as follows:14YK-07, USA678,14YK-03, 14YK-04,14YK-13, GF-01,14YK-02, Oil sunflower 686, GF-03,14YK-10,14YK-19, 14YK-14,14YK-01,14YK-11,14YK-18, GF-05,14YK-17,14YK-08,14YK-15, 14YK-06,14YK-12,14YK-16,14YK-05,14YK-09.4. Using factor analysis method and identical and different analysis method, respectively to make a comprehensive evaluation on the edible sunflower varieties and oil sunflower varieties. The results of two different methods were roughly the same. The results of two methods analysis of edible sunflower varieties were significantly correlated. The correlation coefficient was 0.808. The results of two methods analysis of oil sunflower varieties were significantly correlated. The correlation coefficient was 0.623.
