In twenty-first century, water resources become scarce resources, it is not only resource probl em, but closely related to the sustainable development of our country. Due to our country is a big c ountry of agriculture, the technology of rice irrigation is in a backward level, wasting water resour ces a lot, so using automatic irrigation technology is under such a circumstance. Then the use of ir rigation water efficiency will be greatly improved, much higher than the original 40%, it can not o nly reduce the waste of water resources, but also in accordance with the development of agricultur al information development and precision agriculture request.According to the rice growth and demand information, real-time control the time and quantity of irrigation, to improve the efficiency of water use effectively. The wiring cost of using the method of cable monitoring is expensive, and as soon as the wiring is completed, not easy to modify and change the line, arranged in a crisscross pattern, also it has brought much inconvenience to the management. The use of wireless communication mode, not only save a lot of labor, but also reduce the inconvenience of the wiring. Therefore, there is a huge role of the design of rice automatic irrigation control system based on Zig Bee, it not only can save time and effort,but also save a lot of water resources.Along with the progress of science and technology, wireless communication technology has b ecome more and more mature, especially the Internet of things technology that is used in various f ields, Zig Bee is the core technology of the Internet of things, with the good performance, come to the fore in the field of wireless communication of short distance. GPRS technology is more and m ore advanced, covered area that is increasing, distributed to the various provinces of the country, a nd low maintenance cost, using simple, easy installation, what is the best choice for remote data c ollection and control equipment.The paper use MCU technology, Zig Bee and configuration technology design and develop a rice automatic irrigation control system, which consists of the host computer, gateway, the terminal node of configuration. The terminal node is composed of a sensor, DC electric butterfly valve, solar control system, the terminal nodes with sensor collecting data, the type include the temperature, the water and the water rate of soil for the pool. The node wireless network to contact with the gateway, after the gateway receives the data, through the GPRS module to send to the host computer, and then we can see real-time data information of each cell block in the host computer.According to the Heilongjiang Department of water resources by cold rice control irrigationstandard,we known the height of the water irrigation quota of the different growth stages of rice,control the DC-valve of the irrigation and drainage, meeting the control standard of irrigation water requirement of rice, achieving the rice the function of automatic irrigation and drainage and preventing large flood irrigation, to achieve the expected effect of saving water.Fangzheng rice research institute cell block is flat, when the test is in the early tillering stage of rice, Through practice testing, system of wireless communication is normal, and good control effect, conform to the functional requirements of the system design.
