| Coptis chinensis Franch.is a perennial herbaceous plant, belonging to the genus Coptis Salisb from the family Ranunculaceae.It likes cold and humidity. There have not been reported in detail on the influence of shading on medicinal components of Coptis chinensis Franch.Aiming at this fact, The experiment was carried out with different shading conditions on the growth of Coptis chinensis was studied in different, different shading treatments under Coptis growth indexes, physiological indexes and the difference between the content of chemical components, light to reveal the mechanism of its vegetative growth and quality formation of medicinal materials, so as to clarify the technical measures to improve the yield and quality of Coptis chinensis Franch., lay the foundation for the quality high yield production of Coptis chinensis Franch., and provide some reference for making full use of Coptis chinensis Franch. The following is the main result of the study.1. Influence of shading on morphologic index of Coptis chinensis Franch.This experiment determind the plant height, hair roots, number of green leaves, number of the yellow leaves, fresh weight and so on. Univariate analysis indicated that a bit of contrast on account of difference in adaptability.As far as the Coptis chinensis Franch.,the number and fresh weight of yellow leaves,every year is most in full light. On other perspectives that in most of a two year old at the severe shading,in most of three and four year old at the moderate shading,in most of a five year old at the mild shading or in full light.2. Influence of shading on physiological-biochemical index of Coptis chinensis Franch.The value of chla/chlb is the important indicator to measure the shade-tolerant capability of plant. The less value of chlorophyll(a+b) is, the more stronger shade-tolerant capability of plant is.The results of the value of chla/chlb were under 2, which showed the Coptis Chinensis Franch. has more stronger shade-tolerant capability.The results showed that the contents of soluble sugar in the leaves were higher universally than in the roots and tubers of Coptis Chinensis Franch. in different years.The contents of soluble sugar in different parts, different periods and different years were dynamic:some were increasing firstly and decreasing afterwords along with the increasing shade, some showed as N, and some were decreasing slowly firstly and increasing afterwords. The contents of free amino acids in the leaves, roots and tubers of Coptis Chinensis Franch. in different years were all increasing gradually along with the level of shading. Soluble protein contents were increasing firstly and decreasing afterwords along with the increasing shade to the leaves, roots and tubers of Coptis Chinensis Franch.The contents of soluble sugar, free amino acids and soluble protein were higher in August and September than other months, which were relation with the illumination intensity. Stronger light promoted the accumulation of soluble sugar, free amino acids and soluble protein in plant body.3. Influence of shading on the quality of Coptis chinensis Franch.The results showed that the leaves, roots and tubers of Coptis Chinensis Franch. in different years had low level of alkaloids:content in leaves, roots and tubers were 1.261%～5.040%,3.263%～6.777%,2.735%～4.771%, respectively.There was a certain difference in levels of alkaloids in roots, which showed the level of shade had certain influence on coptis chinensis medicinal ingredients in different years.The highest content of alkaloids in the roots is at the 75% shading for two-year old Coptis Chinensis Franch., at the 60% shading for three-year old, at the 45% shading for four-year old, and full light for five-year old.4. Influence of shading on the yield of Coptis chinensis Franch.The highest yield is at the 75% shading for two-year old Coptis Chinensis Franch. at the 60% shading for three-year old, at the 45% shading for four-year old, and full light for five-year old.Coptis Chinensis Franch. is a shade plant. Different levels light are demanded for different ages of Coptis Chinensis Franch. The study showed that the optimum shading for two-year old Coptis Chinensis Franch. was 75%,60% for three-year old,45% for four-year old and full light for five-old. So, different shading levels are for corresponding ages of different years Coptis Chinensis Franch. |
