The banana industry is developing rapidly in south of the Five Ridges region, which is one of the fruits that people like. Bananas are rich in protein, sugar, potassium, vitamin A and vitamin C, which are essential nutrients for the human body. They play an important role in people’s daily life. Wash banana is an important part of banana harvest. At present, the main method of cleaning bananas is mainly by hand which is inefficient, labor intensity, water consumption. At the same time,it can not meet the requirements of industrialization, intensive,and in-situ production. For the above situation, we designed a field cleaning vehicle for bananas. It can be adapted to the cleaning production of small banana plantations and promote the development of banana industry to high quality and good product direction.Because banana cleaning process are prone to collision injury, we study the banana comb and banana morphology and mechanical properties test that different parts of banana can withstand the pressure range. Finally, we design a field cleaning vehicle for bananas which through different nozzles, different angles to spray a certain power of the water jet wash bananas surface dirt. It can realize the banana no injury cleaning operations, improve the commercialization of bananas, and increase the economic benefits of banana industry. The main technical route of this paper is:Complete the material properties of banana, and provide the basic data for the design and production of the field cleaning vehicle,and then the 3D modeling of nozzle and pipe arrangement for the design of the cleaning vehicle, and built the corresponding test platform. finally, the test verification is conducted.The banana harvest began, according to the number of days for material test to observe and analyze the banana the mechanical characteristics and the banana peel of the banana flesh protection capabilities;Use fruit hardness, let bear different pressure impact of the banana skin in the natural state placed for a period of time, acquisition to observe and analyze the banana skin in the premise of not hurt can withstand the maximum force. We use clean cotton to determine the cleanliness of the banana before and after the banana wash,nozzle type and arrangement is determined according to the flow pressure and the coverage area of the nozzle material. Since the other nozzle to the pressure cap is not exceeded the limit 10 N, it can also choose.4)The field cleaning vehicle body is made of stainless steel plate, cuboid specifications for 1200 mm x 700 mm x 750 mm and 3mm in thickness, volume 630000cm3, quality of 30kg;bottom frame selection of 40# type aluminum profile, size is 40mm*40mm* h, surface treatment for painting; selection of flow pump 12 3h/m, head of 40 m.5)The experimental factors of multi factor and multi level orthogonal test for local pressure, nozzle arrangement and flow velocity. The results showed that the local pressure cleaning effect of banana significantly affected, nozzle arrangement influences significantly,on the velocity of the flow is not significant.6)The optimal combination of cleaning banana is133 CBA, which is the local pressure gauge pressure is 1018′4Pa, the nozzle arrangement for the 5 row, the flow rate was 6s.We use the field wash of banana as the object, and study its material characteristics,cleaning method and cleaning parameters, and design the field cleaning vehicle for bananas.Then, the multi factor and multi level orthogonal experiment of the effect of cleaning effect was carried out, and the optimum parameters were found out, which provided the basis for improving the design of the banana field cleaner.
