In recent years, in the premise of the reform and development of our country economic system, Walnut industry has become a key construction projects about a promotion of China’s rural economy, increasing for farmers’ income and shorten the gap between urban and rural areas. China’s rural walnut cultivation and production scale has been ranked in the world and it is an important component of the income of the rural economy. With the development of walnut industry in deep, the problem about deep processing of walnut began to highlight, it has begun to hinder rural walnut industry to further enhance. On the status of the processing of walnut, walnut processing lag behind the market demand, farmers use manual way in the process of extracting walnut, and seriously affecting the walnut processing quality and efficiency. Therefore, researching and reforming for walnut shell breaking device and then designed the shell breaking equipment that can use in most area of our country become a key to solving this technology backward about walnut processing.In order to design scientific walnut shell breaking device, first we need to analyze various physical parameters and properties of walnut, it can provide a theoretical basis for the walnut shell breaking machine research. The existing mechanical shell breaking device usually adopts many methods. For example, the impact method, rolling method, shear and extrusion method. But, we usually use the extrusion and the impact of two ways to break the shell. By the analysis of related physical characteristics of walnut shell effect in the process of the design about shell breaking machine in this paper, it make the scheme, parts design, overall design and the choice of relevant parameters become more reasonable. In the process of selection of broken shell mode, I combined the traditional process of experience and a broken shell theory, and then make some improvement to knock the broken shell, it improve the efficiency and quality of walnut shell breaking greatly. The concrete shell breaking process adopts belt transmission mode, the walnut into the feeding port, driven by a belt and then crank slider mechanism of the conveying device reciprocating the walnut that in the feeding tube into the guide groove on the device, in the guide on the V slot formed torque by the force of gravity and the friction, and rotating walnut, walnut sliding movement along the V tank and turn, through the arc chute falls into the groove on the case.This study adopts a simulation experiment to verify the validity of the machine, according to the ADAMS software testing and simulation results shows that the guide device is feasible, can realize the accurate orientation of Carya cathayensis. Experiments show that the parameters of affecting the walnut guiding effect mainly including the following two aspects, one is the primary guide V slot inclination angle, the two is the two guide arc chute length. The effective combination of the two, the optimal combination of parameters can be obtained with guiding device. Overall, to some extent, this design can be overcome the extrusion type walnut shell breaking machine faults, improve the quality and efficiency of the walnut shell breaking.
