The experiment was conducted in the water authority key irrigation experimentstation in2013May-October months, in the district of ZhangYe, Gansu province.Thetreatment factor of the test is fertilizer application and irrigation. We test the regulation ofwater and fertilizer two factors when fertilizer, the fertilizer has F1, F2, and F3threelevel, with4levels of irrigation water. Using the orthogonal design, we total has12treatments. The growth index of the interaction between water and Fertilizer on sweetpepper, physiological index and yield, aims to explore the arid area of Northwest ChinaFilm furrow irrigation water and fertilizer control pattern under the pepper, so as to savewater, achieve high yield and quality. The result shows that:(1) Water is one of the main effects of plant height and stem diameter growth speed onsweet pepper. When it in the full irrigation, medium fertilization, the pepper gets thehighest plant height and stem diameter,19.4%and13.7%higher than average; underwater stress, the sweet pepper plant height decreased with the amount of fertilizerincreases, the stem diameter on each treatment showed:low fertilizer> highfertilization>medium fertilization. The above ground biomass was highest on thetreatment of full irrigation and appropriate amount fertilization,reached129.4g/strain,it is1.45times the average; moderate stress and high fertilization treatment(S3F1) with the most developed root system, average of7.6g/strains,11.3%higherthan the average; severe stress and high fertilization treatment (S4F1) with thebiggest ratio of root to shoot. In the full irrigation condition,the largest amount of theleaf area index is the fertilization treatment (S1F2), at different levels of water stress,with the amount of fertilizer application reduced,the leaf area index is improving. Inall the different water fertilizer interaction process, moderate water stress and lowfertilization (S2F3) get the maximum leaf area index and reached5.65.(2) When the soil water content at50%-70%of field capacity, the chlorophyll contentdepends on the soil moisture level, fertilization had little effect on chlorophyllcontent. Proper fertilization and water stress can increase the content of soluble sugar in the leaves of sweet pepper. with the content of nitrate increased fertilizer in sweetpepper leaves also increased, nitrate nitrogen content in leaves increased withincreasing of water stress had a decreasing tendency. the content of soluble proteinincreased with the amount of fertilizer, water stress increased the content of solubleprotein in leaves, but with the severity of water stress, decreased soluble proteincontent in leaves.(3) bell peppers with increasing production volume and improve irrigation in all12Fertilization processing, full irrigation highest yield, fruit processing and commodityrate S1F2amount of fertilizer with the highest under excessive fertilization is notconducive to bell peppers formation of production, water is the first factor on yieldformation peppers, sweet pepper plant production, to make revenue maximization,and the amount must be sufficient irrigation fertilization, from considering theproduction inputs and income, full irrigation and the amount of fertilizercombinations are optimal planting sweet pepper production methods.
