The lawn is an indispensable element in modern urban greening, is the basis of landscapeand the spiritual product of citizens, which reflect the level of urbanization. Lawn affecthuman production and life deeply, beautifying the city, protecting the environment andimproving the quality of life, Such as they could clean air, reduce urban air pollution, waterpollution, light pollution,reduce urban noise and protect ecological balance, also plantinglawn is important measures that prevent soil erosion. Lawn not only play a main role ofregulating temperature and humidity, but also provide the best place of outdoor activities forpeople. Unique artistic features of lawn, not only is a separate scene, but also can be multipleelements in different colors garden plants, rocks, water, construction and other unified in itslandscape as the background among the more artistic make garden effect.The paper studied comprehensive performance of four different cool-season turf grassesat Yang Ling model district, The density, texture, color, uniformity, covering, green time,altitude, the elements of turf and the maturate time of turf are evaluated, using the AHP andthe fuzzy synthesis evaluation method. Ornamental turfs are graded according to the gradedcriterion. In the part of ornamental effect, it will provide a very useful reference for grassvarieties of establishing turf in Yangling model district, Shaanxi. The results of this test showthat Agrostis stolonifera has the highest value in the ornamental characters than the other turfgrass, and Festuca arundinacea is batter then Poa pratensis. Lolium perenne is the lowest one.The lacunae of management and maintain is the general problems in those turf grasses.
