Uneven irrigation, will not only result in uneven crop growth, but also reduce themagnitude and quality of the crop yield, but there will be situations runoff, resulting in wasteof water resources and soil nutrient loss. Many factors affect the uniformity of irrigation,direct factors related to nozzle hydraulic performance, turn the uniformity and arrangement ofwater distribution and orientation, etc. Uniformity is mainly determined by the rotation speedcharacteristics of the nozzle. In this paper,for accurate measurement speed characteristics ofrotary sprinkler nozzle, used the single chip computer technology, sensor technology,communication technology, Keil software programming technology, VisualStudio2008software programming technology and database technology. Adopted upper and lowermachine integration, testing, optimizing the method of combining. Developed a nozzlerotating speed sensor and monitoring system which is suitable for irrigation with rotary spray.Details are as follows:(1)The design focused on Rain Bird’s arm rotating sprinkler,After understanding theform of the nozzle turning way, design speed measurement system for the overall, determinethe overall layout, design the sensor mounting,then selected the sensor, and preliminaryexperiments, so as to determine the number of sensors.(2)Conducted a hardware selection and circuit design for the main controller of themonitoring system, data acquisition module, display module, data transmission module anddata storage module and power module. Select STC89C52microcontroller as the maincontroller; Adopted74HC14as the main processing chip for the reverse circuit chip;and so asto save the space,I produced the reverse narrow circuit PCB board; Adopted JZ871transmission module as wireless digital data transmission module; Finally, adjustable powersupply as the power supply module power supply circuit.(3)Using C language to develop the monitoring system of the machine software,including the initialization module, data acquisition module, real-time clock module, interruptmodule, data storage module and serial interface communication module;PC software usingVisual Studio2008development platform, the use of c#language to develop the PC program,Achieved with lower machine communication function,lower machine display and storage ofdata uploaded. (4)Produced a sensor fixed disk, induced magnetic pole and other accessories.Completed the overall development of the monitoring system, the system software andhardware joint debugging and application of the test. The test results show that the systemwork in no regulatory environment, lower machine can automatic acquisition, display andstore data, and through the wireless module try to collect the data uploaded to the PC, PC tocomplete data display, analysis and storage. System performance and stability, repeatabilitycan be obtained by comparing the test, the maximum absolute error is0.21s,the maximumrelative error is8.75%,the maximum average error is2.42%. Speed characteristics of themeasuring device is also more accurately reflect the characteristics of each sprinkler turningcircle in rotation,speed measurement system can meet the needs of convenience sprinklerrotation characteristics, the need for accurate measurements.
