It is of great significance and application value to guide apple pruning to study theeffect of different shoot amount after pruning of non dwarfed ‘Fuji’ apple and screen theappropriate shoot amount after pruning at full bearing stage under the condition of semidryregion in the Weibei Loess Plateau. This study was carried out in an apple orchard inLuoyang village, Jiuxian Town, Luochuan County of Shaanxi Province. With the material of17a non dwarfed Fuji apple orchard, the effect of high, medium and low (CK, localcommon shoot amount) shoot amount for consecutive years on growth and fruiting weremeasured. Main research results are as follows:1. Effects of ‘Fuji’ apple plant of different shoot amount consecutive treatment afterpruning on the structure indexes. The treatment of high shoot amount for consecutive yearshad bigger trunk circumstance. There was no significant effect on canopy width, branchesintegrity, rot disease risk among treatments; the treatment of medium shoot amount forconsecutive years had biggest leaf area index;2. Effects of different shoot amount consecutive treatment after pruning on leafphotosynthetic characteristics. The treatment of medium shoot amount for consecutive yearshad higher net photosynthetic rate, stoma conductance, intercellular CO2concentration,transpiration rate; chlorophyll content and SLW of CK was higher, leaf quality was better;3. Effects of different shoot amount consecutive treatment after pruning on leaf macroelement content, The treatment of medium shoot amount for consecutive years had highertotal N content; There was no effect on total P content, total K content among treatments;4. Effects of different shoot amount consecutive treatment after pruning on organicnutrient content. The treatment of high and medium shoot amount for consecutive years hadmore organic nutrient content than CK;5. Effects on yield and fruit quality of different shoot amount consecutive treatmentafter pruning: the treatment of high and medium shoot amount for consecutive years hadmore yield; Mean fruit mass of CK was bigger, fruit quality was better.In conclusion, the treatment of medium shoot amount for consecutive years had higher net photosynthetic rate, stomatal conductance, intercellular CO2concentration, transpirationrate, total N content; the treatment of high and medium shoot amount for consecutive yearshad more storage organic nutrient content and yield; Mean fruit mass of CK was bigger,fruit quality was better. The medium shoot amount treatment for consecutive years got thebest performance, so the shoot amount of local apple orchard should be appropriate toincrease.
