| Aimed to provide instruction for growers in choosing proper shoot amount in winterpruning under the trend of less shoots of densed Fuji apple orchard after tree formreconstruction in Weibei loess plateau, the effect of different shoot numbers treatment ongrowth and fruiting of full bearing dwarf ‘Yuhuazaofu’ dwarfed and non dwarfed Red Fujiapple ‘Nagafu No.2’ were compared in this study. Main results are as follows:1Effect of different shoot numbers on growth and fruiting on dwarf ‘Yuhuazaofu’ appletrees at full productive stageFour treatments are as follows35000shoots per667m2after pruning(A1);45000shootsper667m2(A2);55000shoots per667m2(A3) and65000shoots per667m2(A4). The resultsshowed that A3treatment increased the LAI, NPK contents, Pn, content of storage nutrition.A3is superior for plant growth and fruiting of dwarf ‘Yuhuazaofu’ apple trees.2Effect of different shoot numbers on growth and fruiting on Red Fuji apple ‘NagafuNo.2’ at full productive stageThree treatments are as follows34000shoots per667m2after pruning(B1);44000shootsper667m2(B2) and57000shoots per667m2(B3). The data showed that the content of storagenutrition of B2was significantly increased. The SLW,667m2yield of B3were allsignificantly increased, while the organic acid was significantly decreased. And the totalnitrogen phosphorus and potassium contents of both B2and B3were both significantlyincreased. As the result, increasing shoot number compared to the average level(B1) wasbeneficial to the quality of leaves, net photosynthesis rate, the content of storage nutrition andfruit yield and quality.3Effect of different shoot numbers on growth and fruiting on dwarf Red Fuji apple‘Nagafu No.2’ at full productive stageThree treatments are as follows44000shoots per667m2after pruning(C1);51000shootsper667m2(C2) and55000shoots per667m2(C3). The result showed that SLW of C3wassignificantly increased, and the net photosynthetic rate, storage nutrition content, mean fruit mass and yield of C2and C3were both significantly higher than that of local averagelevel(C1). Therefore, increasing shoot numbers compared to the average level(C1) wasbeneficial to the fruit yield and quality. |
