From the beginning of the1990s, the world disappears average of1,600hectares of forest reserves each year. With forest reserves plummeted, the Earth’s ecological environment deteriorate seriously, notable aspects including:Water quality degradation, soil accelerated desertification, air pollution and so on. More importantly, as an important resource, forest reserves disappear which will lead to slowing development of technology and progress of human society. But forest fires is one of the main forest reserves plummeted. China has increased the design of forest fire fighting equipment for research and development Based on the complexity of the environment of the forest, there is a certain limit for fire-fighting equipment to enter the forest and work. We should improve the way of walking and operation of fire fighting equipment. Design a fire agency which can freely travel in a complex forest road and easy to operate has become a key task in the field of design fire fighting equipment.Through the conducting research of complex composition of forests, and analogy analysis of function and structure of existing forest fire fighting equipment, design an equipment using crawler to drive and using wind fire extinguishers to complete the fire-fighting task. We provided the composition form and layout of crawler wind fire. Also completed the design and motion simulation.We determined the crawler chassis is the most suitable running gear in complicated muddy forest road. Through analog the various types of fire-fighting agencies, we integrated its advantages and disadvantages. For unlimited nature of extinguishing media and efficiency of forest fire-fighting, wind fire extinguisher is more appropriate forest fire-fighting agency. According the specific circumstances of crawler wind fire extinguisher in the work, we used Finite Element Analysis Software to analyze related important parts to identify technical parameters. Using Modal analysis and static analysis tested the work reliability of the important parts. After the completion of the prototype process, we made a lot of experiments and obtained the affect factor of efficiency, fire performance, speed and other experimental data to verify the correctness of design theory.This paper provided guidance and experience for structural design and optimization of crawler pneumatic extinguisher. It also provided a foundation for the development of wind crawler fire fighting equipment, which could effectively improve the forest fire-fighting capability.
