| Brown planthopper infects deeply to rice. It almost causes huge economic on riceproduction in every year. Selecting and utilizing rice with BPH resistance genes isconsidering economicaland effective way. In order to clarify the resistance of ricegermplasm materials against brown planthoppe, we screened new rice germplasm andidentifed resistance genes of brown planthopper. It can lay the foundation for ricebreeding of resistance to BPH. In this study, seeding screening set was used to evaluate620rice varieties against BPH.159rice varieties were selected for association analysisand also evaluated several times next year. We used109SSR markers to detect thegenetic diversity of rice population, to identify their kinship and population structurewith PowerMarkerV3.25, NTSYSpc2.10e, SPAGeDi and STRUCTURE2.3.1. At last, the molecular information and trait of rice resistance to BPH were determined byTASSEL2.1. The major results are as follows:1Among620rice varieties, the highly susceptible varieties were most andaccounted for50.60%. However, the highly resistant varieties were least, accounting for4.35%. Among159rice varieties with association analysis, there were97varietiesperforming moderately resistant which were75indica and22japonica. It suggested thatindica and japonica are different on the performance of resistance to BPH.2109SSR markers were used to detect the genetic diversity of159rice varieties. The results showed that the109SSR markers amplified a total of554alleles,5.1allelesper loci and changed from2(RM1002)~11(RM3627). The index of gene diversitychanged from0.237~0.881and then the average was0.577. The minimum and maximumPIC value of primer was0.220(RM19)and0.869(RM3412). It suggested that the geneticdiversity of rice population is rich and make better foundation for association analysis.3The results of NTSYS cluster and STRUCTURE analysis were nearly simple. Itshowed that the rice population can be divided into typical indica and japonica. Thekinship analysis was used by SPAGeDi. There was some kinship in a part of materialsand a little was near.4The model GLM(Q), MLM(Q+K) and MLM(PCA+K) were used to associationanalysis. There were12loci significantly associated with brown planthopper resistance.RM1195and RM3627of chromosome1, RM7451of chromosome2, RM72andRM6838were all detected in two years of phenotype date. The same loci which wereassociated, indicating good stability of the polymorphic sites. Compare with brownplanthopper resistance gene which have been found, there were4loci near by the knownsites.5Among12loci which were significantly associated with BPH resistance, there were9loci with positive effect and negative effect. The resistant allele197of RM72showed thelargest negative effect on BPH resistance. Only3resistant alleles had positive effect on BPHresistance. In addition, one materialalways carried several resistant alleles. |
