Objective: This experiment was conducted to observe the effect of induction from thecombination of molybdenum and cadmium on renal fuction and expression of CP and MT-1mRNA insheldrake.(NH4)6Mo7O24·4H2O was the molybdenum source and3CdSO4.8H2O wasthe cadmium source.360Jiangnan2sheldrake was randomly divided into6groups(control group, low Mo group, high Mo group,Cd group, low Mo and Cd group).Thecontrol group was fed basal diet. Treatment group was fed the diet that added with lowMo(15mg/kg) diet, high Mo(100mg/kg) diet, Cd level (4mg/kg),low Mo (15mg/kg) andCd (4mg/kg),and high Mo(100mg/kg) and Cd (4mg/kg)The experimental period was120days,tissue samples and serum were obtained on30days,60days,90days and120days bykilling10sheldrake from each group respectively to observe the effect of different Mo-Crconcentration on renal function and kidney-related genes of sheldrake. The results were asfollows:1、Compared with control group, serum urea nitrogen level of experimental groupsincreased, significant differences between high molybdenum cadmium groups in120days(P<0.05). Significant differences between high molybdenum groups in30days and60days(P<0.05). The same situation was in high molybdenum cadmium groups of120days(P<0.05). Serum uric acid levels decreased, trial significant differences between trialgroups in60days (P<0.05).2、Compared with control group, the contents of Na+、Cl-in serum of experimentgroups were decreased, difference was significant between experiment groups in120days(P<0.05). Serum’s content of Inorganic P decreased, difference was significant between highmolybdenum groups (P<0.05) while extremely significant difference between cadmiumgroup, low molybdenum cadmium group, high molybdenum cadmium groups in60days(P <0.01). Significant differences between low molybdenum group, cadmium group andlow molybdenum cadmium group(P<0.05), extremely significant difference between highmolybdenum group and high molybdenum cadmium group (P<0.01). Significantdifference between high molybdenum group and high molybdenum cadmium group(P <0.05), however, serum’s Mg2+、K+、Ca2+content was decreased, and the difference was notsignificant(P>0.05).3、Compared with control group, the mRNA expression of CP、MT-1gene increased inthe experiment groups, difference was significant in120days (P<0.05). MT-1gene’sexpression of mRNA increased, significant differences between120days cadmium group, low molybdenum cadmium group and high molybdenum cadmium group (P<0.05).Conclusions: High doses of molybdenum and cadmium leading to renal injury, renalfunction decreased of duck. It showed synergistic effect on CP gene’s expression of mRNAand serum electrolytes. but there was antagonistic for MT-1gene’s expression of mRNA...
