Phalaenopsis is a plant with aerial roots, which directly affect the growth of thewhole Phalaenopsis. Therefore, Phalaenopsis have high demands for the rhizospheremicroenvironment and the breathability of the growing media. During the cultivationof Phalaenopsis, the matrix not only should be loose, breathable, pH suitable,nontoxic, but also should have a strong water retaining capacity and play a supportingrole to the plant roots. According to the experiment confirmed that the characteristicsof water moos cultivated can meet the requirements of the cultivation Phalaenopsis,because water moos, on the one hand, can create a simulant native environment forPhalaenopsis, on the other hand, water moos could also reduce the Phalaenopsisamount of water and fertilizer during managing, For this reason, the water moos haslong been selected as growing media for the Phalaenopsis by the Phalaenopsisgrowers. However, the high price and the low circulation intensity of the water moosresult in an increase in the cost of Phalaenopsis cultivation. The main contents of thisresearch are as follows:1. Effects of different substrates on Phalaenopsis seedlingsI explored the effects of different substrates on the Phalaenopsis in1.5-inch and2.5-inch seedling growth mainly. In the experiment, I adopted the common and wastematerials as the growing media, such as: wheat straw, sawdust, pine needles, lentinusedodes slag, cap fungus slag, etc. The above material are used in different proportions,and then analyzed the recording data. I compared the growth of the Phalaenopsis indifferent growing media and that in water moos made medium. The results showedthat the growing media mixed by water moos and mushroom slag (water moos:mushroom slag=7:3) can reduce the cost of the growing media under the condition ofthe normal growth of the1.5inch Phalaenopsis. The same goes to the growing mediamixed by water moos and sawdust (water moos: sawdust=7:3) for2.5inchPhalaenopsis.2. Effects of Rooting Powde on Phalaenopsis seedlings During the transition of Phalaenopsis from tissue culture plants to greenhouseseedings, it is hard to avoid the case that the Phalaenopsis not root or root dysplasia.On this basis, we dip the root dysplasia of Phalaenopsis into Rooting Powde solution.I bought two kinds of Rooting Powde in this experiment, the seeding withouttreatment and the ones dipped into the each Rooting Powde in the groups arecompared. Results shows that AiBiDi abt affect better and the best concentration is100ppm, which is significantly obvious than the control group and QiangLi abt;QiangLi abt in concentration of13.5can also promote the rooting of Phalaenopsis.
