This paper sought to find out the distribution pattern and variation of soil moisture spatial heterogeneity under different grazing intensities in Desert Steppe. The traditional statistics and Geo-statistical analysis were used as the main method of this investigation. By using the conclusion of soil moisture spatial heterogeneity in desert steppe under different sampling scales, the present paper attempted to analyze soil moisture spatial heterogeneity under different grazing intensities. The results were shown as below:l.With the increasing of sampling scale, spatial heterogeneity which was caused by spatial autocorrelation part increases firstly and then decreased; however, the result of spatial heterogeneity which was caused by random part increased with increasing of sampling scale; The appropriate sampling scale for studying spatial heterogeneity of soil moisture in the desert steppe is (4×6)m2—(8×12)m2.2.The positive correlation of spatial was smallest in moderate grazing intensity plots and largest in light grazing plots; Spatial distribution of soil moisture accord with normal distribution model; Different grazing intensity plots of soil moisture distribution expressed the same direction typical characteristics.3.The soil moisture spatial heterogeneity under light grazing intensities are greatly influenced by random factors, and it was greatly influenced by soil inherent structural factors in control plot and heavy grazing plot.
