In order to investigate the serotypes of the intestinal Escherichia coli (E. coli)which causing diarrhea in claves in Hohhot, fecal samples were collected from40diarrhea disease calves in one Holstein dairy farm in Hohhot, then, E. coli were separated and cultured from them,36strains of suspected E. Coli were obtained. The morphology of E. coli was observed, what’s more, biochemical identification, serotype identification, PCR identification, and animal pathogenicity test were conducted. The results showed that:28strains of E. coli are virulent pathogenic E. coli, the percentage is77.78%. The serotypes of these E. coli are O15, O28, O29, O136, the percentages are3.57%(1/28),7.14%(2/28),3.57%(1/28),3.57%(1/28) separately. The percentages of virulence genes checked by PCR were that:Stx2is3.57%(1/28), Irp2is17.86%(5/28), HlyA is21.43%(6/28). Sequencing similarity results are for more than98%compared with the Genbank database.083、0104、0157new serotypes also are fund on the Sequencing similarity results of PCR product without detected in serotype identification.It demonstrated PCR is very sensitive.The various single Mongolian herb medicine of Mengolian traditional herb medicine compound Babu-7in vitro bacteriostasis of E. coli was detected with oxford cup method, sure no antagonism between each medicine effect, can be mutual compatibility. E. coli is highly sensitive to dark clouds fragrance, myrobalan, spikenard, compound Babu-7solution as well as the positive control group, sensitive to dianthus superbus, madder, kusnezoff monkshood leaf, not sensitive to oxytropismyriophylla. The sensitiveness in vitro bacteriostasis of E.coli, Compound Babu-7is significantly better than ciprofloxacin.Mice diarrhea disease model was established. It was found that the treatment effect by the veterinary compound Babu-7(87.5%) on diarrhea mice better than antibiotic ciprofloxacin (62.5%) treatment group.Study of Mongolian compound effect on E.coli cell surface properties, results showed that the medicine by destroying the cellular structure, increase the permeability, changing hydrophobic nature and electric conductivity E.coli cell surface, thus achieve antibacterial effect.Through these trials, it can be concluded that, the treatment effect on calve diarrhoea caused by E.coli with Mongolian medicine Babu-7is higher than with.
