Gully erosion is a kind of soil erosion, according to the first national water resources census data released in2013year. There were nearly three hundred thousand erosion channels in the northeast black earth area of our country, and there were nearly one hundred and twenty thousand channels in Hei Longjiang Provence. So many erosion gullies have threated to the food security and ecological water loss and soil erosion by devouring farmland, dividing the land, cutting off the roads and imperiling to security of human and animal. Based on the1965,2005,2011three periods of remote sensing images, this paperresearched the number of erosion channel and its related influence factors in the483.39square kilometers study area, what was more, the articlealso processed its statistical analysis, obtained the changes and trends of the erosion channel, explored the relationship between theerosion channel and land use, slope, surface corrosion and so on, conducted a high precision measurement to the erosion channels which had the obviouscharacteristics before and after the rainy season, grasped the speed of erosion channel development influenced by precipitation within a year. All of the above laid the groundwork for long‐term observation and rule simulation. In this paper, the main conclusions include:(1) The study area channel erosion was intensifying. The numbers of erosion channels in the study area had already from328in1965to765in2011. And also the gully density has from0.26km/km2to0.60km/km2.(2) The erosion channels in the study area distributedin the cultivated land. By means of the comparison and analysis, when the land use type was arable land, the number and area of the erosionchannels occupied the most of the current erosion channels in1965,2005and2011.(3) Through the latest remote sensing image and the related factors, the erosion channels mostly distributed in the lower slope and smaller surface erosion strength plots.(4) Erosion channels expanded rapidly in the rainy season, and small erosion channels were given priority to the extensionof the length, mainly reflected in the gully head forward. The expansion of the area and volume of the erosion channels was the main development and change characteristic of the large erosion channel, which was to say, the eroded andincised effect of these channels was more apparent.
