Rice is one of the main food crops in China, occupies a pivotal position in foodproduction. Compared with developed countries, China’s rice planting mechanization levelis low, which seriously restrict the development of rice cultivation in China. Therefore, todevelop new high-speed transplanter, improve planting efficiency, has an importantsignificance to improve the level of mechanization of rice planting in China.Transplanting mechanism is the core component of the rice transplanter, itsperformance will directly affect the quality and efficiency of planting. At present, thetraditional transplanting mechanism in domestic market are almost crank-rockermechanisms. The mechanism of vibration and speed should not be too high, which limitingthe planting efficiency. The eccentric circle gear or the elliptic gear transplantingmechanism which developed in Japan was extensive used in the high-speed ricetransplanter. But the transplanting mechanism is complicated and the cost is high.Therefore, in view of the above problems of the transplanting mechanism, through theanalysis of agronomic requirements and planting trajectory, eccentric gears andnon-circular gears planetary gear train was used in this paper as the transmissioncomponents of this transplanting mechanism. Then a forward rotary transplantingmechanism was designed in this paper. The main research contents and conclusions of thispaper are as follows:(1) Through the analysis of the current research status and problems of domestic andoverseas transplanting mechanism, eccentric gears and non-circular gears planetary geartrain was used in this paper as the transmission components of this transplantingmechanism and a forward rotary transplanting mechanism was designed. The overallstructure and key components of this transplanting mechanism was optimal designed inthis paper. The working principle and characteristics of this transplanting mechanism wasdiscussed in this article.(2) The trajectory of forward rotary transplanting mechanism seedling claw cusp wasanalyzed and the kinematics model of forward rotary transplanting mechanism witheccentric gears and non-circular gears was established. Kinematic characteristics of thistransplanting mechanism were analyzed, which include angular displacement, angularvelocity and transmission ratio of eccentric gears and non-circular gears, the displacement,velocity and acceleration of seedling claw cusp.(3)The three-dimensional model and virtual assembly of forward rotary transplantingmechanism with eccentric gears and non-circular gears was established by UG software.The ADAMS software was used in this paper to carry out kinematics simulation of thevirtual prototype, then obtain the trajectory, displacement curve and velocity curve ofseedling claw cusp. Then simulation results and theoretical results were compared to verifythe design of the transplanting mechanism was reasonable.(4) The modal analysis of epicyclic gear was carried out to calculate the naturalfrequencies and mode of vibration. The analysis estimated the vibration characteristics ofepicyclic gear and provided the theory basis for the epicyclic gear structure optimization design. Analysis showed that the resonance will not appear in the work process, therefore,will not affect the transplanting mechanism.
