A Preliminary Study On The Root-grafting Technology For Rubber Tree

With the grafting technique widely used in practice, it will make the seedling can inherit excellent quality of the scion and obtain the adaptability of the anvil wood. As we know root grafting can have a rapid propagation of seedlings, while it also reduce production costs and increase economic efficiency, at last it also have a high utilization rate of seed. We found it had been in kiwi fruit, walnut and mulberry trees, while other plants had been a very good application, but the rubber tree root grafting is of blank research. people’s material demand is also increasing while the demand for rubber is also increasing. Due to get the best method of rubber tree’s root-grafting, in this study we chose different root material and scion material to get the selection of scion and the time of root grafting. Through the study we want to form a initial set of root grafting technique. This research is important to select the rubber tree rootstock materials and cultivation of rubber tree seedling technology development, etc.In this experiment, the transition material of test are Reyan7-33-97biennial Grafted Mini seedling、 annual seedlings、Reyan7-33-97Bud etc, while the object of rootstock is that has been cut20years Reyan7-33-97rubber tree. In order to form a completed set of root-grafting technique, fist of all the experiment had carried out many test in situ root-grafting、in vitro root-grafting、in bud root-grafting and the cultivation of rubber tree’s root. Finally, it had check the all root’s activity of POD、SOD and MDA, while also had a preliminary discussion on survival rate of root-grafting and the physiological mechanism of grafting. The results show that:(1)After half a year, we can use the new root of rubber tree as the material of root-grafting; The best distance of natural root to rubber tree is240cm.(2) The survival rate of in vitro root-grafting is better than the in situ root-grafting. The survival rate of in vitro root-grafting is48.33%-71.67%; The survival rate of in situ root-grafting is20%-48.33%.(3) The best diameter of transition plant is4mm-6mm, and the length is36cm-46cm and26cm-35cm. In vitro root grafting experiment, diameter of transition plant in4mm-6mm and6mm-8mm had a highest root survival rate, while it is respectively73.52%and76.67%. And in vitro root of root segment, we can know36cm-46cm and26cm-35cm had the highest survival rate of root, while it is respectively74.57%and87.17%; In situ root grafting test, diameter of root grafting4mm-6mm thick near the tree had the highest survival rate, the survival rate was26.7%, the survival of2mm-4mm and6mm-8mm rate is lower, as we know in situ root the root segment test link the main tree, it do not consider the length.(4) In this experiment, in vitro root-grafting we found the best combination that includes length and diameter were16cm-25cm×4mm-6mm、16cm-25cm×6mm-8mm、36cm-45cm×6mm-8mm、46cm-55cm×2mm-4mm;(5) Whether transition is plants seedlings or seedlings, survival rate of rubber tree in vitro root grafting are higher than the in situ grafting, survival rate of in situ root grafting is28.33%-48.33%, as we know it was significantly lower than those of in vitro root with survival rate of root grafting is51.67%-71.67%; Bud grafting in situ root in April to August, we can get survival rates of far end the was5%and survival rates of near the tree end was6.67%,while from September to December survival rates of far end the was2.5%and survival rates of near the tree end was1.67%; When the transition of plant seedlings were seedlings and in situ root or bud piece, the survival rate of grafting that from April to August are significantly higher than the survival rate from September to December; The survival rate of bud root-grafting is very low that this method must be improved, while in the current situation budding root-grafting is not suitable for promotion;(6)The survival of the grafting root had similar to taproot in grafting activity of POD, SOD, MDA, at last weight of fresh root after6months accounted for about2/3of the taproot.The best grafting time of technique in the rubber tree’s root grafting should be April to August, the test of grafting the we found the best transition plants must be grafted Mini seedling, survival rate of in vitro root grafting is the highest, while the average of survival rate was71.26%in the test material, In this experiment, in vitro root-grafting we found the best combination that includes length and diameter were16cm-25cmx4mm-6mm、16cm-25cm×6mm-8mm、36cm-45cm×6mm-8mm、46cm-55cm×2mm-4mm and the survival rate of the combination the combination87%or so; he best distance of natural root to rubber tree is240cm.
