Ribes meyeri Maxim belongs toSaxifragaceae family. It is an deciduousshrubwith high economic value and ornamental value, and worthy of widely application inlandscape gardens. Based on Ribes meyeri Maxim hardwood materials, the cuttingpropagation technology, rooting mechanism and rooting anatomy were researchedand discussed. The main conclusions were as follows:(1)There were significant differences on rooting traits between differentrooting media. Chestnut soil, melting grey brown soil by6:1showed the best result, and the chestnut soil, red clay by6:1was the worst.(2) The growth regulator type, growth regulator concentration both hadsiginificant effect on rooting characters of hardwood. However, the processing timeremained to be further studied. The growth effect of GGR treatment was generalbetter than IBAand NAA. The rooting rate was highest with GGR80mg/L and10hour treatment. Choosing IBA80mg/L growth regulator2hours soaking, the perplant root was longest. The growth traits was the worst with NAA, and the hardwoodgrown worest with2hour tretment of120mg/L NAA.(3) It was found that2a and3a hardwood grown better than othersusing60mg/LGGR soak different branch ages with8hour.The rooting rate of2a was highest and2a hardwood grown best.(4) The nutrient content of different tretment cutting decreased on callusformation and root induction period. The starch content of different species was felldown-higher-fell down in the process of growth, and soluble protein content wasdown-up-down-up.The soluble sugar and starch content of Ribes stenocarpumMaxim was more than Ribes meyeri Maxim in the entire cutting process, but thesoluble protein content was opposite.(5)Growth regulator GGR increased the activity of POD and PPO,whichincreased significantly during the period of callus and adventitious root induction.Atthe same time, POD and PPO activity of Ribes stenocarpum Maximwere higher than Ribes meyeri Maxim in the growth process.(6)Ribes meyeri Maxim belonged to induced root primordia, which derived fromthe pith radial march with the vascular cambium cells. The root primordium was notbeen found in the callus with anatomy. The root was observed directly in the processof cutting,so the type of rooting was the phloem forming adventitious root...
