Corn stalks with high nutritional value. Corn stalks green storage can be used as livestock feed, can produce biogas, biomass power generation, the uses of corn stalks is very extensive. China’s corn stalks resources are very rich, however, due to various factors, the costs of stalks collection, sorting and transportation are continue to increase, making the comprehensive utilization of stalks is lagging behind. Baler application is an important means to improve the utilization of corn stalks; it can raise the corn stalks harvest mechanization level,and have a good prospect.The paper first discusses the history of the development of the corn stalks harvesting machinery, analyzed the balers at home and abroad progress, introduced the baler overall structure and working principle, provides a theoretical support for the design and study of the baler. On the basis of the existing stalks harvesting machinery, research the corn stalks bale technology programs and the key components of the corn stalks tying machine.Calculate the main parameters of bundling components. Calculated the main parameter of the balers twine institutions, cut rope in the gears and chain drive. According to their working environment and operating conditions, refer to the national standards, completed the provisions of the transmission parameters of the optimization of important parameters.Draw the Parts of3D model, and completed the simulation analysis. According to the parameters of the main bundling components, use the three-dimensional software Pro/Engineer to draw the diagram of the main components of the tying machine parts and assembly parts, use the institutions in the software module parts sports simulation and the simulation analysis for the fight. Provide a theoretical basis for the optimization and improvement of the corn stalks tying machine.To make the tying machine to adapt to changing work environment, carried out field trials on the corn stalks tying machine. Test bundles, stalks bundle density and other operating indicators were compared with national standards and found that there are irrational factors. A field experiment found that stalks loss rate of the corn stalks tying machine, twine institutions in poor condition, low efficiency and continuous working time is short, proposed a solution to the problem, and key components of the optimal design and improvement, so that the corn stalks tying machine performance more reliable, more stable.Again improved after the field trial, the before and after the experimental data were compared. By comparison, the bundling success rate of the tying machine, stalks loss rate has improved after increased average bundling time,continuous work time increased, reaching the national standard.The applications of corn stalks bale machine are facilitate to the implementation of the stalks silage. This machine can improve the efficiency of silage operations, ensure the quality of the green storage stalks, corn stalks green storage process can be simplified in line with the requirements of industrial development in rural areas, as the increasing demand for corn stalks tying machine, research and development of agricultural machinery are increasing the investment, will surely promote and accelerate the development of stalks harvesting machinery to promote the improvement of the level of mechanization.
