Rosa L. is one of the most important ornamental in the world. Zygotic embryos were cultured in vitro to obtain hybrid plantlet with Rosa chinensis, Rosa hybrida’Mount Shasta’, Rosa hybrida’Tongqing’ as female parent and Rosa odorata var.erubescens, Rosa hybrida ’zihongxiang’, Rosa hybrida ’huzhongyue’, Rosa hybrida’ xiangfendie’ as male parent, while paraffin section was also used to observe morphological development of early embryo. The results were as follows:1. Morphological development of early embryos, harvested in each 5 days from 15 days to 50 days after hybridization with Rosa chinensis, Rosa hybrida’Mount Shasta’, Rosa hybrida ’Tongqing’ as female parent and Rosa odorata var.erubescens, Rosa viridiflora ’Zihongxiang’, Rosa viridiflora ’Huzhongyue’, Rosa hybrida ’Xiangfendie’ as male parent, were investigated using paraffin section. As for normal development, zygotic embryo experience globular embryo, heart-shaped embryo, torpedo-shaped embryo and U-shaped embryo, and corresponding embryo age is 20-25d,30-35d,35-40d,45-50d after hybridization, respectively. Within cultivation as female parent and protospecies as male parent, embryo abortion after 25d, while embryo abortion after 40d with cultivation as both female and male parent.2. Zygotic embryos were cultured in vitro to obtain hybrid plantlet with Rosa chinensis, Rosa hybrida ’Mount Shasta’, Rosa hybrida ’Tongqing’ as female parent and Rosa odorata var.erubescens, Rosa viridiflora ’Zihongxiang’, Rosa viridiflora ’Huzhongyue’, Rosa hybrida ’Xiangfendie’ as male parent, results demonstrated that 35-40d was an optional stage for early embryo rescue. Plantlet germinating from embryo, whose female parent was Rosa hybrida ’Mount Shasta’, could be proliferated on MS+6-BA1.0 mg/L+GA30.5 mg/L +NAA0.05 mg/L, while MS+6-BA0.1 mg/L+GA31.5 mg/L+NAA0.05 mg/L was suit for embryo whose female parent was Rosa hybrida’Tongqing’. To induce plantlet rootage, using NAA0.05 mg/L alone was better than combining it with 6-BA. Ground substance with ratio of perlite:vermiculite:turf=1:1:1 or 2:1:1 was idea to transplant.3. Morphological identify for F1 indicated that the radix, shape color of leaves of F1 were similar to femal parents, while color of petal was determined by both femal and meal parents,which means parents with heavier color would exert effect on offspring. Karylogical study of F1 demostrated karyotype of F1 coincide genetics. Most ploid of F1 were triploid or tetraploid, and karyotype was almost 1A that was realatively primordial.
