Lysmata amboinensis belong to the family of Hippolytidae , Lysmata species , and is commonly referred to as white-banded cleaner shrimp. They distribute in Indo-Pacific,Red Sea to Hawaii and Society Island .Body is white-yellow and has two red bands and one thin white band, white band extends from cephalothorax to telson end with a shape of“T”.They attract the fishes in the reef by waving their bright-white antennae and clean the parasites and rotten skin for them. They are the protandric simultaneous hermaphroditic shrimp and they can mate as functional male as female when incubating. At the present time, L. amboinensis are popular variety which can not be reproductived successfully as well as caught from nature,so only achieving the artificial breeding can supply the market demand. The researches at home and abroad found that light and temperature is the key factor to broodstocks reproduction and larval breeding .There are rare reports concerning the light and temperature requirements of Lysmata sp.,only some diets have been tried in ornamental shrimp culture. Effect of light and temperature on reproduction performance and egg quality of Lysmata amboinensis,in order to provide preferably theoretical basis for reproduction.Two-factorial experiment was designed to explore the influence of four light intensity levels (50lx,250lx,500lx,3000lx) and four photoperiod levels ( 8L:16D,12L: 12D,16L:8D,18L:6D ); one-factorial experiment was designed to explore the influence of five light intensity levels (18℃,21℃,24℃,27℃,30℃). The results of reproductive performance show that relative fecundity in treatment of 250lx (1589±553) is most and least of 3000lx (1296±546).There are not significant differences in spawning rate of four . light intensity.Cycle of gonad development cycle in treatment of 50lx (16.29±1.39d)is longest and shortest of 3000lx (15.63±1.26d). Volume of fertilized egg in treat- ment of 500lx( 16.29±1.39d)is bigest and smallest of 500lx( 15.63±1.26d)which have the most total lipids, total protein,12 classes of amino acids ,∑EAA、∑NEAA were the greatest in group 50lx. There are no significant difference in total lipids and protein, amino acids ,fatty acid of zygote from the broodstocks in treatment of four photoperiods. Cycle of gonad development is shortest and volume of fertilized egg is bigest in treatment of 12L:12D. These results suggest that broodstocks in treatment of 50lx and 12L:12D can significantly affect reproduction performances and the quality of the fertilized eggs of Lysmata amboinensis.Under the temperatures of 18~30℃in Lab, the developmental period of the gonad and for Lysmata amboinensis shortened while the relative fecundity decreased as the temperature increased.Broodstocks in treatment of 18℃and 30℃can not incubating after incubating 1 to 3 times. Volume of fertilized egg is biggest but Relative fecundity is least in treatment of 27℃. There are not significant differences in dry weight and fresh weight of zygote with five groups. Under the temperatures of 18~30℃in Lab, total lipids and total protein for Lysmata amboinensis increased as the temperature increa -sed, while there are not significant differences in amino acids and fatty acid under the temperatures of 18~30℃. These results suggest that broodstocks in treatment of 24℃is suitable for reproduction performance and egg quality of Lysmata amboinensis.
