Birth weight is a important trait of reproduction. Research shows that the weight at 60 days and 35 days of Landrace was positively correlated with birth weight and birth weight was positively correlated with growth rate. In addition, birth weight and survival rate had a great relationship, the birth weight above 1.0 kg the survival rate increases with the increase in birth weight when the birth weight is below 1.0 kg; and there is no regularity when the birth weight is above 1.0 Kg;while below 0.5Kg the survival rate is only 55.56%. Thus, the birth weight of pig directly affected pig production to some extent. In view of this, this article took the birth weight trait as the starting point, initially revealed the relationship between a number of genes and birth weight and made the following findings:1. Cloned the whole CDS sequences of the genes TRIM29 and DUSP4. including a 1746 cDNA sequence of the TRIM29 gene, this sequence consists of a 5’UTR of 423bps, a ORF of 849bps and a 3’UTR of 474bps, the protein coding by this sequence has 282 amino acids and its molecular weight is about 32.2KDa, the PI is about 5.5, its homology with human and rat are all 94%; and a 1009 cDNA sequence of the DUSP4 gene, this sequence consists of a 5’UTR of 49bps, a ORF of 927bps and a 3’UTR of 33bps, the protein coding by this sequence has 308 amino acids and its molecular weight is about 33KDa, the PI is about 5.75, its homology with human and rat are about 80% and74%.2. Trait association analysis were taken on birth weight of Guangdong immune group and Seven SNPs on genes DUSP4, TRIM29, IGJ, ABCF1, AP3D1, LGALS9 and VDUP1, it revealed that the difference of the SNPs of VDUP1, DUSP4 and TRIM29 genes was not significant between genotypes and birth weight; and IGJ, LGALS9, AP3D1 and ABCF1 were significant or extremely significant, the P values were 0.0148,0.0063,0.0193 and <0.0001.3.Trait association analysis were taken on birth weight of Jinlin group and two SNPs on genes AP3D1 and ABCF1, it revealed that the difference of the SNPs of AP3D1 and ABCF1 were extremely significant, the P values were 0.0085 and 0.0003. 4. Chromosome electronic location On DUSP4, TRIM29, IGJ and LGALS9 genes revealed that these four genes were located at SSC6 q2.1, SSC9 p1.3,SSC8 q1.1 and SSC12 q1.1, respectively.
