The experiment is research cows delivery status (midwifery, afterbirth) and birth weight of calves growth and development for calves at Haigao Pasture from May2012to March2013. The result shows:1. For the calves were born with non-midwifery by the cows which are not nulliparity, the slaughter weight is93.3kg, the day’s number of lactation is63d, average daily gain of weight is821.91g, For the calves were born with midwifery by the cows which are nulliparity, the slaughter weight is91.9kg, the day’s number of lactation is65d, average daily gain of weight is691.2g. Non-midwifery and midwifery have not significant difference (P>0.05) in slaughter weight, but the differences in daily gain and breast-feeding days is significantly (P<0.05or P<0.01). For the calves were born by the cows which expelled afterbirth, the slaughter weight is94.9kg, the day’s number of lactation is75d, average daily gain of weight is720g, For the calves were born by the cows which placenta not being expelled after birth, the slaughter weight is96.2kg, the day’s number of lactation is65d, average daily gain of weight is856.5g. Afterbirth are expelled and not in the slaughter weight have not significant difference (P>0.05), but the differences in daily gain and breast-feeding days is significantly (P<0.05or P<0.01).For the calves were born with non-midwifery by the primiparous cows, the slaughter weight is89.2kg, the day’s number of lactation is63d, average daily gain of weight is836.7g. For the calves were born with midwifery by the primiparous cows, the slaughter weight is89.2kg, the day’s number of lactation is75d, average daily gain of weight is694.3g. In slaughter weight, breast-feeding days, daily gain, non-midwifery and midwifery have significant difference (P<0.05or P<0.01). For the calves were born by the cows which expelled afterbirth, the slaughter weight is97.8kg, the day’s number of lactation is62d, average daily gain of weight is854.7g, For the calves were born by the cows which placenta not being expelled after birth, the slaughter weight is91.4kg, the day’s number of lactation is63d, average daily gain of weight is805.6g. In slaughter weight, breast-feeding days, daily gain, afterbirth are expelled and not have significant difference (P<0.05or P<0.01).2.For the calves were born by the cows which are not nulliparity, the slaughter weight:92.4kg、92.6kg、92.3kg、99.1kg、95.8kg、91.5kg.The day’s number of lactation::73d、71d、74d、63d、63d、65d.The average daily gain of weight:713.7g、743.8g、 785.6g、818.6g、875.1g、796.9kg..The slaughter weight has significant difference (P <0.05). The day’s number of lactation and the average daily gain of weight all have difference significantly (P<0.01).For the calves were born with non-midwifery by the primiparous cows, the slaughter weight:92.lkg、91.1kg、93.3kg、93kg、91.1kg.The day’s number of lactation:72d,67d,68d,66d,64d,.The average daily gain of weight:741.5g792.9g810.1g838.9g,890g..The slaughter weight is not significant (P>0.05). The day’s number of lactation and the average daily gain of weight all have difference significantly (P<0.01)3.The rate of midwifery in the cows have delivery:2.67,4.62,2.92,5.94,14.2.The rate of afterbirth:16,18.79,15.69,15.98,22.16.When the cattles over50kg, the midwifery rate and the afterbirth rate increased significantly. The rate of midwifery in the primiparous cows:14.29,14.8,23.27,31.88,50.The rate of afterbirth:5.88,11.78,12.36,14.49,11.11. The birth weight at35kg,35-40kg have not significantly,.The rate of midwifery is increased significantly in the cattlts over40kg,and the afterbirth rate do not change significantl4. At the allocation, the birth weight of the calves:40.2kg,39.7kg,41.1kg,42.3kg. Calves born were no significant difference (P>0.05). The slaughter weight:92.9kg,94.2kg,97.5kg,92.2kg, breast-feeding days:76d,65d,62d,66d, daily gain:688.9g835.8g920.9g779.9g. The slaughter weight, breast-feeding days, daily gain have significant difference (P<0.05or P<0.01).5.The calf birth weight in2012,7to2013,5was:38.9kg,39.1kg,40.7kg,41.5kg,40.7kg,40.5kg,37.4kg,39.0kg,38.0kg, the slaughter weight is91.9kg,83.9kg,92.0kg,98.2kg,97.7kg,91.1kg,95.2kg,94.4kg,90.5kg, the day’s number of lactation is75d,71d,78d,76d,69d,62d,64d,63d,63d, the average daily gain of weight is701.3g,626.5g,654.3g,750.9g,831.8g,828.4g,863.7g,873.3g,838.7g. the slaughter weight, the day’s number of lactation and the average daily gain of weight have significant difference (P<0.05orP<0.01).The coconclusion is following:Cows delivery conditions affect the growth and development of calves The birth weight of calves have an effecton growth and development of calves. The birth weight do not associated with afterbirth, but associated with midwifery. When the birth weight of calves by primiparous cattles over40kg, the birth rate increased with the birth weight. When the birth weight of calves were born by the cows which are not nulliparity were over50kg, the rate of midwifery increased significantly. The calf’s breeding and management influence its growth and development.
