The first HSR of China is Beijing-Tianjin inter-city railway which has been constructed in July 2005, and operated on August 1 before the opening of Beijing 2008 Olympic Games. By the end of 2015, more than 19000 km of HSR has been operated in China in late 10 years, the number of HSR which was being in operating of China accounts for some 70% of world.The achievement on construction of the China’s HSR has been attracted attentions from the world widely, and which is famed on the technology system of comprehensive,least duration of construction,low cost,and high performance with low cost.It has been gained a lot of recognition and praise from international communities and countries widely.The construction of HSR is a typical linear civil engineering, which was scheduled by the traditional gantt chart and network planning method in the past years,and the characteristics of the time-location were not showed on the planing of engineering of HSR.The research focus on the schedule technology and application method which are suitable for linear project of the HSR,and similar projects with HSR engineering, it is of great significance.Firstly, the principle and technical features of linear scheduling method and new Research achievements of researcher from domestic and other countries are introduced by the author in detail. according to compare LSM to trdditional schedule methods,the advantages and applicability of these scheduling methods are proposed by the auther.Secondly, the current schedule management system and the scheduling information platform of engineering projects of HSR are introduced in this paper.These characteristics, process and requirements of schedule are instroduced comprehensively,and the process how to calculated and determined the duration of activities of construction is summarized by the author from the decision-making stage to construction stage. Based on principle of LSM, the methods and process are proposed by the author with CPM or CAP which are used to determinded the total schedule chart.Finally, based on LSM scheduling chart, combined with practice in the scheduling and controlling path of HSR, and optimization method are introduced by the author in detail. And take the simply supported box girder gantry crane scheme optimization of engineering as examples, the LSM method was advanced and applicable in the scheduling and controlling of the application for linear project.
