Because of its simple structure and the advantages of small size, Micro satellite received wide attention in recent years. The performance of Micro thruster is directly related to the wide application of micro satellite, so it is the power unit of micro satellite. Due to the tiny satellite thrust required only in the micro level, so how to micro thruster thrust test is a key means of testing the micro thruster design and manufacturing process. The traditional test methods was complex structure and difficult calibration.A micro thrust test device based on torsional pendulum device was presented in order to meet the requirements of plasma thruster performance test. And the dynamic characteristics of the system are simulated:The simulation results show that the test system has the disadvantages of poor anti-interference ability and complex compensation mechanism. In order to solve the above problems effectively, a micro thrust test device based on Michelson interference principle is proposed. This system is composed of an interference measurement module, a calibration module and a measuring circuit module. The numerical simulation of the interference light path system and the measuring circuitis carried out, the parameters of the original light path were optimized. Finally, an experiment device was set up, and a preliminary experiment was carried out on the test system. The measurement accuracy of the thrust measurement mechanism is obtained at 10-400mN, with a resolution of 2±1μN.This measurement is proposed for the measurement of micro thrust.
