In order to solve the business demand growing rapidly and the expanding the business type, information technology project management has been proceeded in card center.Under the general background of he development of economic globalization, wto financial regulation gradually relaxing, the acceleration of financial innovation and the backdrop of the rapid development of information technology, information technology is changing with unprecedented efforts banking business environment, as well as changing the face of the classic project management. And China citic bank credit card center has some problem in executing information project management, which is definite concept of management idea, need, lack of standardization management, and applying management model mechanically. And these restrict the further development of China citic bank.X bank credit card center’s information project management is this paper’s research object. And based on solving the existing problems, conducting the thorough research on the information project management theory, including range management, risk management, time management, communication management, cost management. The paper is attempting to exploring information project management methods appropriate for bank, which will result in effective management and control China citic bank credit center’s information project management, and improving information systems development in project management mode and maturity.On the basis of research on the related literature at home and abroad, first of all, the bank credit card center’s information management, data warehouse system, information technology project management and its process has carried on the theoretical research by project process theory. Secondly, the existing problems of X bank credit card center of information project management has been analyzed, and the problems are lack of information management mode, information project management process having some problems. As a result, this paper put forward improving opinion emphatically on three aspects, which are construction of information management target, method and standard of information management, and gave advice on five aspects of information management process, including the scope, cost, risk, communication, time, to optimize the process of information project management.Finally, these opinion and advice has been applied to the center of information project management.Finally, this paper introduces the method of improved information project management, to apply in the citic card center’s communications business network optimization project as an example, for measuring d the concrete improvement of information project management idea. Data results show that the corresponding measures has been adopted, X bank credit card center the main indexes have improved significantly. The proposed optimization measures in this paper, which is not only having important practical value for citic bank, but also having reference value for ascension our country commercial bank information management level.
