A Study On Supplier Evaluation Of A Cosmetic Group Enterprise

In recent years, an important topic in fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) is the appraisal of suppliers. Given the improvement of people’s living standard, a significant tool of improving people’s appearance and confidence is cosmetic, customers care more and more about the effects of makeup on themselves. As a company in FMCG industry, cosmetic company is facing a fierce competitive situation due to the many changes of customers’ demands and the low loyalty to brand. In this case, quick and flexible response ability of supply chain will affect the competitiveness of brand and corporations directly. Building up effective supplier introduction and routing appraisal mechanism and forming long-term and stable cooperative relationship with good suppliers has been the emphasis of the external resource management in FMCG industry. How to set up effective supplier appraisal system has been strategic choice of cosmetic enterprises when they are faced with significant market challenges and sustainable development.This paper chooses a private makeup firm with largest sales in domestic as an object of study. Based on the current supplier appraisal system of J company, the author try to describe the way to build up supplier appraisal system by combing the current theory of supplier review, which in return can help company build up reasonable and effective supplier introduction system, improve core competitiveness and product development effectiveness, avoid various risks in the cooperation with supplier, shorten supply cycle, boost the whole supply chain effectiveness and whole competitiveness of J company, Maybe, this paper can provide example for domestic FMCG companies to improve their supplier review standard.
