In this information explosion era, the interaction and transmission of information has been accelerated. The concept of global village has been nearly developing into every corner in the world. In this age, a company cannot develop sustaninably without knowledge. Therefore,knowledge-based mployees have become the core competitiveness of a company and are the powerful safeguards for a company to survive and develop. According to the needs of the employees, it is very imperative for the companies to motivate the employess under the companies’present resources. It can be said the competition among the companies is the competition among the human talents.However,the knowledge-based employees differ from the common ones in their needs.but many companies don’t recognize that point.they just resort to some undiscriminating solutions which cannot meet the needs of the knowledge-based employees to resolve the problem. So a company who wants a success must know how to deal with it.First of all.the writer refers to many theoretic fruits and relevent literatures based on the motivation of knowledge-based employees in order to analyse the needs of this kind of group,material motivation and spritual motivation,and its influencing factors. Secondly, due to the lack of efficient method to managing this group,many companies just use personal willingness and empricism to cope with the situation, which has caused many problems. For a company eager for high-efficient managemental level.it is of vital importance to figure out the most pressing needs of the knowledge-based group and then try to resolve them step by step.Next, the writer takes the features of the knowldege-based employees as a starting point to analyze their needs and work motives from material and spiritual levels,and then design a motivational pattern according to the needs and motives. At last,the writer presents his own solutions so that to provide some reference for the companies who happen to have the same kind of problem.
