With the increasing economic growth in China and the further progress of the reform and opening-up, the small and medium-sized private enterprises have played an increasingly significant role in China’s economic system. Small and medium-sized private enterprises are not only a significant part in the economy, but also a indispensable part for resolving the problem of employment and an active part which drive the scientific and technological progress. But for some reasons, the financial management of those small and medium-sized private enterprises is incapable to perform the responsibilities offsetting ventures.By reviewing the related research achievements about the financial management of small and medium-sized private enterprises, this paper gives a description of those enterprises’ special characteristics and makes a summary of their role in Chinese economy. After this, this paper will express a conclusion came from study that the financing ability of those enterprises are inferior, and the ways of their financing are single. They don’t own a systematic internal control system and the quality of finance person is disquieting. After this, this paper will study on those above problems from two aspects which are internal factor and external factor. Finally, this paper will propose several methods to solve this situation, such as striking up a scientific system for their business management, strengthening the management of financing and investment, and establishing a venture control mechanism. Improving the financial management of these small and medium-sized private enterprises will not only improve their business development, but will also do a contribution to the steady development of the whole national economy.
