A Study On The Status Quo And Problems Of Small And Medium - Sized Financial Institutions In Yunnan Province

Small and Medium Financial Institutions is playing a very important role insolving finance difficulties of SMEs, and the development of urban and rural economy.Therefore, Small and Medium Financial Institutions will inevitably have a greatdevelopment in the next period of time. And the status of Small and MediumFinancial Institutions in our financial system has become increasingly important.The development road of Small and Medium Financial Institutions in Yunnanprovince is very bumpy. Especially full openness of the banking industry to foreigninvestors since2006, the Small and Medium Financial Institutions in Yunnan facedthe pressure from not only the state-owned banks but also the external shocks entry offoreign banks. So it is very necessary to study the Small and Medium FinancialInstitutions in Yunnan. This paper is based on the theory of the development offinancial institutions, the actual situation of the development Small and MediumFinancial Institutions in Yunnan for empirical analysis. On one hand, the studies onSmall and Medium Financial Institutions of the paper is healthy and stable for Yunnaneconomy development, on the other hand, it can also improve the structure of thefinancial system.First, the paper discusses the theory of the Small and Medium FinancialInstitutions, analyzes the characteristics of Small and Medium Financial Institutions,outline the status of development of domestic and abroad of the Small and MediumFinancial Institutions, then have an empirical analysis for Yunnan Small and MediumFinancial Institutions. Then I have an empirical analysis for the development of Smalland Medium Financial Institutions and the SMEs, also I have an empirical analysis forthe efficiency of the Small and Medium Financial Institutions in Yunnan. Finally,based on the above theoretical and empirical analysis, conclude that the developmentof Small and Medium Financial Institutions in Yunnan.
