Study On Decision - Making Of Chemical Cold Chain Logistics Operation Mode

The China cold chain logistics is not well developed and far fall behind of the high development of China Economy. Only10%amount of food is under cold chain status; however the rate will be around50%or more than90%in some development countries. From2009, the government has published the relevant policies to support the development of cold Chain. Meanwhile with the competition of logistics industries have because quite intensive, the professional logistics will be the development trend, thus give more opportunity to the development of professional cold chain logistics. In recent years, big international logistics company has entered the field of China cold chain logistics. The enterprises also pay more attention to supply chain strategy, and all these changes will give more development chance to the Third party cold chain logistics.This thesis indicate the importance of cold chain logistics and third party cold chain logistics based on the research result of cold china logistic, and analyze the reason of logistics outsourcing in the view of strategy and business management. This thesis do the relevant analysis in the following aspect:the importance of cold chain logistics, the logistics outsourcing strategy, risks of the logistics outsourcing, and in what kind of mode to outsource logistics services. During this process the theory of transaction cost, the theory of core competence, the theory of principal-agents are used in this article. E company-a US chemical company is used as a sample to show the whole process of how to make good logistics outsourcing decision. The company’s logistic background, the relevant logistics issues are brought up in this article and give a suggestion about how to optimize the logistics activity of this company. And during this research, AHP and SWOT methods were used. Other company can utilize the good experience from this case study.
