The dialect class TV news programs as a new form of television programs, after constant adjustment and development, and gradually become a new force on the TV screen. In simple terms, there are two reasons for the emergence of the dialect class TV news programs. Firstly, from the subjective point of view, the TV station wants to do a new type of program to enhance the audience’s attention and improve the ratings.Secondly, objectively speaking, the relevant economic, cultural and other social conditions have been more mature.The Chat is one of the dialect class TV news programs which were founded earlier in China. With its unique style and charm, it has been welcomed by the TV audience. The first part of the article relates to the content including the development of the dialect class TV news programs, The Chat program overview and so on. This study is based on the theory of “uses and gratifications” and the audience of the program is the research object. This study used the questionnaire, in-depth interviews and other research methods to analyze the social structure of the audience, the media contact behavior and the state of satisfaction. Finally, the paper summarizes the problems in the dialect class TV news programs, and puts forward the corresponding strategies to solve the problems. I hope this paper can provide reference for the development of such programs, and promote the better development of the dialect class TV news programs.
